Town v Weymouth

Going for a 2-1 win here.

An ambitious prediction given that we've only scored more than 1 goal once so far this season.

I predict 1-1 with Gavin once again playing a loan striker for the majority of the game.

(If he plays 2 up front, I predict we win 4-3).

Gav had great success last season with a negative set up from the start with a more attacking attitude second half… the wins at Hastings and Chatham were perfect examples… he is trying the same tactics this season and it ain’t working… if he carries on with this approach it won’t be long before other players leave along with the crowd and it will become much harder to recruit and to get the crowd back…if we’re going to go down let’s at least make it entertaining ….

What a change.....we attacked and were by far the better team first half but couldn't take our chances. 2nd half was more even but once we got our goal Weymouth threw the kitchen sink at us and we were clinging on a bit but we held on and what a moral booster that will be for the lads. Glad to have been there to see a positive result. Stay with the team guys they need us more than ever....we can turn this around and was great to hear 🎵the town are staying up ole ole🎵COYT

Nice to see the Town on the front foot… Sam hit the bar Peake hit the post and a good one on one chance saved.., by far the better team… second half very even… a well taken goal with probably our only attempt that half…. watched the last 20 from behind our goal and it was certainly nerve wracking stuff…. Reece certainly has stood out this season another vital stop late on…. this really was a must win and great to see us just 2 points behind Hornchurch….

Good attacking line up to start and it proved that way in the first half. Hit the post a couple of times and had numerous chances. Great to see us dictate the play for the first time in a while.

Tuck looks a class act and looked like him playing deep freed up Youngs to push forward. But we really gelled in all areas of the pitch. Even played a bit of confident possession football at the end of the half.

RBR took his goal really well, it's not that often we'll get that much time in the opposite box but he took advantage and it was a result of the many attacking chances we created.

Realistically, it's ultimately good to confirm that we're not the worst team in the league. If we play like this regularly then it remains to be seen what our potential really is. I'd take 20th, tbh.

P.S. Benjamin looks a different class act at centre back. Farnborough away is the real test. Being it on...
