Eynesbury United's match report:

Spartan South Midlands Division 2 Tring Corinthians (0) 0 Eynesbury Utd (2) 4 Baxter 2, Newton, Clarke

The Bulls made it six games unbeaten with a quality win over Tring Corinthians, a place where historically United struggle, the Bulls produced some great football and scored four quality goals.

Tring started the game well and pushed United back but never put the Bulls goal under any pressure, and that was the story of the whole afternoon with United keeper coming home with a clean kit. United huffed and puffed early doors with only a Baxter effort that was well blocked by a defender and went off for a corner. Brad Brown was immense in the midfield winning every tackle and giving Tring all sorts of issues with his quality long range passing. Callan Irvine was also causing the Tring left back lots of issues, and it was a great run down the right that saw him square the ball to McLeod but his shot was well saved by the keeper. United have played three games away this season and really should have won all of them but for conceding late goals and poor finishing. However today was not going to be a repeat, on 22 minutes a great ball found Baxter who out muscled the Tring defender and he slammed the ball past the Tring keeper. One up and it got better on 34 minutes when a great free kick from King found Newton at the far post and he powered an unstoppable header past the Tring keeper. United were buoyant and further chances fell to Baxter and Brown but the score remained 2-0 at half time.

United came out flat for the start of the second half, allowing Tring to dominate for the early minutes however, as in the first half, only a long range shot that went wide was the Bulls only worry.

The Bulls then produced a great third goal, once again Lewis King was involved with a great ball into McLeod who threaded an inch perfect pass to Baxter who sprinted clear, rounded the keeper to make it 3-0. The Bulls were now on top and dominating the game with further efforts from Meeds and Baxter, then on 84 minutes the magic moment happened when Harri Clarke returning from long term injury burst through the Tring midfield to then place a long range shot over the keeper and into the net. Absolute scenes with even the management joining in the celebrations, says a lot about Harri who has been missed by all whilst being injured.

The full time whistle blew and the Bulls and a good afternoons work was complete. Man of the Match was Chris Newton a great header and won his battles. No game next week but the Bulls are at home to Padbury Village on the 28th.
