Worthing 0 Hx 0

Recommended Posts

For me, this was the best performance of the season. Worthing put a lot of pressure on Hornchurch, used the width of the pitch very effectively but the defence was well drilled and really made it very difficult for them. When they did get through Mason Terry was outstanding, my mom. There’s a save at the end of the first half that was going into the bottom corner and he managed to somehow get his hand to it, outstanding save. New signing came in and played a blinder , very important addition to the squad . We did have some action at the other end and could have nicked it but that would have been very harsh on Worthing. Very well run club, stewards were very efficient and decent people there (though I don’t think those kids comparing Sean Scannell adversely to Calvert-lewin went down too well I was willing him to score after that!) . Very pleased with the result, we belong in this league coyu

A day at the seaside. First time visiting Worthing.

What a game I cant say much more that CoT has not already mentioned agreed my MoM was Mason Terry. Worthing had some amazing possession and passed the ball but chances in front of the net were few. We had our chances and i thought with with some better set pieces we could have got more.

Pleased with any point today. well done to all involved and yes Will had a great introduction to Hornchurch.

FA cup next!

Another really enjoyable match.  Defended really well - I thought newbie Will Greenidge was excellent and can only improve our already excellent-looking defence (Weston being an aberration imho).  Could even have sneaked a win but that would probably have been unfair on Worthing.  Not that I'd have cried at that, obvs.

This may be a hostage to fortune, but to me it looks like we can just enjoy the season without worrying too much about relegation (unlike last time at this level when every point lost was like a dagger to the heart - it really wasn't much fun).  Lots of new grounds, new towns, and new friends to make.  Bring it on.
