Slough 2 Hx 1

Well football can be a cruel game. We played so well , competed on equal terms on the first half and had the better of it for 25 minutes in the second, Sean Scannell was getting a lot of space on the left and taking full advantage of it. Cracking goal from Tom Wraight. Bit of a mistake from us and Scott Davies (who was quality today) scored an unstoppable shot from the resulting free kick. Second goal from another set piece. Fine margins at this level and we needed that second goal when we had the advantage . Not too disappointed we have been competitive and the players did really well against a very good side. Onwards to Monday coyu

Excellent performance all round, if we play that same game 10 times we would win 9 fine margins and a dubious freekick call cost us today. We looked very fluid up front with Balanta and Scans treating us to some lovely inter play. If we can get close to replicating that performance Monday then the 3 points will be ours. Well played all

Didn't think the free kick was at all dubious seen from the side.

Our strength is resilience and refusal to give up.

You played very well today and will do well this year, I think. Good support too.

Im gutted!

An excellent performance by the whole team got nothing to show for it.  The lads played brilliantly all accross the park caused so many problems and Slough had no answer until the 1st free kick.

Its already showing us that this season we have to be on it for full 90 minutes and not make mistakes and we need to build on the pain of today to take more points in next game and beyond.

Proud of the players.

Granted I wasn't close to where it happened but it certainly looked like he threw himself to the floor.

You've got a good setup there - all the best for the season.

2 defenders closed across him both making contact, the ref was super close, pretty sure he was going down whatever happened. We were claiming a penalty for the previous contact on Lucan but it absolutely wasn't.

It was a good game of football and I look forward to the return game.
