v Hornchurch

Recommended Posts

Beat St Albans 1-0 on Tuesday with only 28% possession if the stats I saw on twitter are correct...... Screams of a well organised team and a strong defence so will need to be on our a game attacking wise

Excellent comeback and win, did we fully deserve the win? Not so sure, but we’ll take the bits of luck when it presents itself! Complete contrast to Tuesday night but I guess it was always going to be against different and in fairness much better opposition. Hornchurch will be counting their missed chances especially that open goal. First half for us was poor and we couldn’t seem to get to grips with Hornchurch but as soon as we equalised we gained momentum and belief and got a very fortunate winner. We held firm to see out a hard fought victory that places us in the dizzy heights of second place!

It has been a pleasure and privilege to support and watch the Rebels for 58 years and to have seen class players like Chalky White Dave Russell Dobbo and Scott over this period.

These players have scored some cracking long range goals and free kicks.

When Scott lines the ball up with these free kicks supporters just look at each other expecting to see the ball hitting a bulging net.

Since Beckham have we ever seen a player in the England team score a free kick goal like Scott does names on a postcard please 😁

It was a tough game for the Rebels but even in the 2nd half at 1 down i still kept saying to the lads around me that we would win.

It's  so good to see so many youngsters  boys and girls coming along getting involved  @ enjoying themselves watching the team may it continue.

Yes, Hornchurch were the better side for large parts of the 90+ minutes and must be gutted to have left the ground with nothing to show for their efforts.

But on the flip side it does show the character we have in this squad to not be at our best, stay in the game and eventually come away with 3 hard earned points.

Keeps our momentum going into a tough game at Aveley.

COYR!!
