After an even first half and a well taken goal by Femi,second half we were encamped pretty much for 45 minutes on our own half and it was like a scene from the Alamo,last ditch defending good goal keeping and the underside of the bar,no it wasn't pretty but good sides always find a way to win,up the Urchins

We played brilliantly in both matches and worked so hard that we deserved tonights result and a bit of luck.

 

This team is coming together well and we look like we can be more than a match for most teams this season

Tremendous rearguard action from the guys second half - there was a lot of pressure from St Albans . To be honest they looked a better side then our opponents on Saturday. Cracking win very pleased. 6 points out of 9 cracking start. Well done all

Oh and a big shout out to the St Albans chairman, what a lovely guy, completely unpretentious, just like Alex.

Wasn't able to make it but listened to it online, certainly sounded like the whole team put in a real shift. The commentators pin pointing Scott as having an excellent game. Well played lads. - brilliant result!

Phew, nail biting is an understatement. Super goal from Femi. Mason Terry kept us in it and made some great saves. as mentioned Ryan was the last man standing and was my MOM. As said, St Albans just kept pressing and were far better than Eastbourne and the woodwork saved us and we managed to hold on.  Great crowd and three points in the bag.

It felt like we got the result that we perhaps deserved more last Saturday! Good to see how football works itself out. I don't get to see many Tuesday games now but I was especially pleased with our home support, particularly vocally. If anyone is feeling like they want to join (or rejoin) the eastside singers, you're more than welcome. It's really good fun, bantering with away fans, and each other!
