Due to severe storm damage at the club we have been left with no other option than to postpone our cup game against Belstone on Tuesday night. Keep an eye on socials for amended date.

AFC Welwyn and Belstone try again tomorrow (Tuesday 14 January) evening in their delayed Quarter Final tie for the right to travel to Tring Corinthians AFC in the Semi Final of the competition:

Unfortunately this evening's Hertfordshire FA Senior Centenary Trophy Quarter Final tie between  AFC Welwyn v Belstone has been called off again, apparently due to a frozen pitch however temperatures have risen considerably since last night:

AFC Welwyn - M A T C H  P O S T P O N E D - Tonight’s Quarter Final against Belstone has been postponed due to frozen pitch. Keep an eye out for our next fixture.

I wonder whether the frustratingly delayed Hertfordshire FA Senior Centenary Trophy Quarter Final tie between AFC Welwyn v Belstone FC will finally go ahead this evening, we live in hope and it has been switched from Herns Way to Belstone FC's Medburn Ground in leafy Radlett. Tring Corinthians AFC are tapping their foot awaiting the winners with Everett Rovers already in the Final following their surprise 3-2 Semi Final win at Oxhey Jets on Saturday 25 January:

A disappointing Hertfordshire FA Senior Centenary Trophy Quarter Final defeat for AFC Welwyn at the Medburn Ground last Tuesday evening with boss Brett Donnelly unsurprisingly unhappy with the result:

Words from Brett: 'We started really brightly and should have probably 2 up before Belstone scored. We got caught up overplaying around there box, Belstone broke and scored a cracker from 20 yards. Thankfully we responded really well and equalised quickly from a quick break by Sam O who squared a delightful ball to MOTM Will McNeil. The turning point for me was about 5 minutes later when we broke again and their keeper kung fu kicks will about 5 yards outside the box, no where near the ball. The officials deemed it not to serious and booked the keeper. For me it’s a red all day. After that we huffed and puffed without actually getting any strikes on goal. Second half we dominated again but Belstone broke away and nicked a penalty. We didn’t do enough to equalise and the 3rd goal was a catalogue of errors. First defeat for me here, but performance wise I wasn’t to disappointed. Now it’s time for the lads to kick there wounds and put a performance in Saturday'.
