Early wake up call

Recommended Posts

Well we had our chances they took one and it was clinical, the Eastbourne goal did seem to have a charmed life.Fair play to the visitors played with 10 men for over an hour ,very well organised. We are going to have to get use that don't forget better quality football this season.Well a long way to go, roll on Tuesday,up the Urchins

Very frustrating afternoon. We were very one dimensional and laboured in most parts, we created some half chances and their keeper made a couple of smart saves but over the course of the game I feel he wasn't tested enough.

Balanta needed to get on the ball more, when he travels with it things happen. New forward on the bench yet moved Scott up front was an  interesting move.

Saunders confidence is shot to pieces, think he needs a loan in the Isthmian to get some confidence back and go again.

Would we have done better against 11 men? Probably....

I thought we had a good amount of the ball considering they are full time, and unlucky not to have scored. It will be interesting to see Eastbourne results as the season progresses. I like our style of play and think we can have a decent season. Onwards to St Albans, let's keep getting behind the team.

3 points dropped in my opinion. Never really thought they threatened us. It was a great counter attacking goal, against the run of play. We had our chances, but today the wind was not blowing in the right direction for the ball to drop in the net.

New season, new challenges, against more organised and well drilled teams. Roll on Tuesday.

Definitely deserved to get something out of that game. Resolute defending from the opponents missed chances and bad luck from us perhaps a bit more width from us may have helped. Any one of our chances go in and we win the game. One thing I did notice is the Aveley-esce style tactics it’s something we need to learn to deal with. Unlucky Hornchurch
