Taylor Mckenzie our outstanding centre half announced today he is retiring from football after todays Match v Hendon.

Watched behind the Hendon goal and he had a couple of shouting matches with Reece today… didn’t seem happy…. i wonder if our abject performance and the thought of a very difficult season ahead with all that travelling helped him make that decision…..

Seems strange to suddenly announce retirement 2 weeks before start of season? And why wouldn’t Gavin play him at all if this is the case?

 

haven’t been to any pre season games - what’s the consensus so far? Everything I read online predicts is to go down - yes it will be tough but have faith in gav that we can stay up

Who are the standouts from the new signings? Any of the recent trial lists impressed?

The under 21 games it was all about positional play so no real clue… Saturday was really awful … totally outplayed by a team of trialists with at least 6/7 of our first team out… No drive through the midfield at all struggling to see many national south quality players… Reece was probably MOM for us and Sam as always seemed to make space… this is going to be one hell of a test for Gav and the staff..

Taylor had a very tough season with Cheshunt when they went up to NLS with some of their fans blaming him for their calamitous start to the campaign. I wonder whether he sees something similar befalling us?
