An entertaining pre-season friendly between two local sides who rarely play each other in competitive fixtures. This game was played on Thame's 3G pitch, which has limited spectator facilities.
Thame took the lead in the 30 minute, but two goals in two minutes just before the break from ex-Thame player Abu Khan gave Dynamos a 2-1 half-time lead.
Thame made 6 substitutions at half-time and looked a much better team, and ran out comfortable winners in the end.

I was in Dunstable well ahead of the 7.15pm kick off time but still managed to miss the start of the game. Before the football I visited my elderly aunt and uncle who live at the Stipers Hill end of the town. By the time we had finished our chat I knew I would miss the kick off, but a slightly delayed start meant I didn't miss many minutes. Upon arrival at Creasey Park I found a large car park has been built adjacent to the site - pretty sure that wasn't there on my last visit in 2018. As I walked through to the original car park I noticed that the gates were locked on the main ground and I began to wonder if the game had been called off. However, it turned out the match was being played up the slope on what is known as ATP2 (Artificial Turf Pitch 2), your standard 3G cage with a viewing area down one side. It was "pay what you want" to gain access.
City's new-look XI were once again on show, with only one new face, backed up by a bench mostly made up of some of our U18's which has been a feature of all the friendlies so far. 3-0 to City at half time, a 4th was added on 66 minutes. Right near the end Dunstable's best chance to score was thwarted by City's sub keeper, the giant Gene Ghag making an excellent double save. A minute later winger Joel Older broke away, rounded the keeper and coolly finished so score his 2nd of the evening and make it 5-0.
Around 80 or so watching on including 20 or so from Cambridge. I spent the whole match watching with Andy from Suffolk. He was keen to 'hop' this venue as it is step 6 compliant and was used for SSML action by Dunstable at the back end of last season. A surprise bonus tick for me as I have been to the main facility at Creasey Park over half a dozen times before, both before and since the place was redeveloped.
