Early bird tickets 2024/5

First increase in 3 years and still excellent value with the early bird offer at roughly £9 for adults and £8 for concessions.

Membership includes pre season, academy, under 18's, ladies matches and some free tickets.,

I wonder if the line about investing in facilities will be ready in time for the start of the new season or if this is a year or 2 away?

All seems very reasonable. My only concern being that 13-16 year olds now need to pay which may deter them at a time when we are looking to grow numbers....

Of course that is said without any data to back it up and i am sure that the member card scanning data would back up this decision (i.e. demographics etc) so all good

I read somewhere we had sold around 1,000 memberships last season. Can only think a lot of them didn’t use it in the first half of the season? It’s unfortunate the price has increased but I guess it’s not unexpected hopefully we can sell more than last season and see regular 1,000+ home crowds from the start (although that massively depends on results on the pitch!).

I think under 14's were free last season so I wonder how many of the 1,000 were freebies.

3 years without an increase so if we want improvements done to the ground and the team to progress on the playing side a small increase was inevitable.

To put our prices into some sort of perspective Dorking early bird S/T prices are: adult £299 concessions £279, u18 £155 and u8 £90

There are no free entry for the youngsters and the deadline to renew your membership is tonight.

With just over a week to go how are our early bird ticket sales are going?

I'll take a guess and say the club will have to extend the date.

No doubt they will, lack of signings, exits and will they stay or go on lenchy and Goddard can’t be enticing people to sign up.

Was thinking exactly the same, I know alot of work is going on behind the scenes, but it’s all well and good promoting these memberships but you need to entice fans to buy like some new signings at least! I doubt we’d be told but it would be interesting to know how many we’ve sold so far and how it compares with this time last year.

I would have thought the majority of season ticket buyers would be those that have been committed & loyal to the club for several seasons, and most of those would have seen numerous good players come & go, and as such I would be surprised if their decision about whether or not to buy an early bird season ticket will be influenced by what Goddard & Lench decide to do.

There’s loyalty and then there’s blind loyalty!!! Not sure you’d sell as many if 4 or 5 of your best players left and weren’t replaced adequately. Fans I hope still want to see a competitive team otherwise why bother?

Glen, we're talking about Johnny Goddard and Matt Lench, not Cristinao Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

The Rebels faithful will still buy season tickets provided that they're properly advertised, the club looks in decent shape off the pitch (which looks the case atm) and people don't feel like they're pouring their money into a black hole.

Doesn’t matter Nathan it’s all relevant to the club you support and to the majority those 2 are our best players. Yes we can’t compete with the offers they’ve received but it’s ok to be annoyed even angry when your top players get poached. Some of you need to realise not all fans think or feel the same.

The point is most, if not all of our die hard loyal supporters who normally buy an early bird season ticket will still buy one.

The 'floating supporters' who are probably in the majority of our 800/1,000 attendees will very likely need something extra to entice them to buy before the 31st May deadline.

As we speak there's been no good news on new signings and we still have the distinct possibility of losing two of our best players.

I'm sure there's a lot of hard work going on in the background but trying to convince the floating supporter to buy a ticket by the end of May will take something more tangible and exciting to get them to part with their money.

That's why I said if the discounted ticket sales are lower than the club expects the deadline might be extended to give Scott and the club more time.
