A fitting result at home.

Well nearly samba weather apart from the force 10 from the south. Pretty much an Urchin first half, lots of corners and pressure led to a number of chances, but no goals. Second half and one would have thought, it would be opposite with Chatham utilising the weather conditions. However some dubious keeping led to the urchins first and Femi's never say die attitude finished in the back of the net. 1-0 to the chins and one could sense the change in play. But chatham were not done yet, and then sneaked an equaliser on the 88th minute, all square and this led to a strange last 7mins. Chatham player dismissed, straight red for something on the other side of the pitch. Then a minute of  magic down the right, ball fired across the box to the awaiting nashy to confirm the win. 2-1. Final whistle, let the celebrations begin.

Was a typical game with a lot at stake didn't really get going till the second half thought we were the better side on the day and justice was done at the end,hope we don't take our foot off the gas for the remainder of the season fans still giving up their time and paying good money to watch the champions,up the Urchins

Quite frankly I don’t care about the game we won and we are promoted. Congratulations to everyone at the club for making this happen. Deserved the win , great goal from them. No playoffs, fantastic.

Gutted had to go to a function and missed the 3 year wait. Well done everyone at the club: board, squad and volunteers. Our journey continues. 

 

[Up the chins]

Relief! Think that’s the biggest emotion after today. Players have been brilliant all year - fully deserve to go up. We ask for a level of consistency but the consistency they have shown this year has been ridiculous. Shoutout to the board, the manager(s), the players and all the people behind the scenes, without them none of this would be possible. Played really well today and fully deserved the win. We can now watch the play offs unfold with a bag of popcorn (makes a change!). Looking forward to some great away days next season but it’s nice to go to some in the remainder of the season with absolutely no pressure on them!
