Squad for next season

Recommended Posts

A bit premature but now our play-off chances are all but over I thought I'd start this thread early.

These are the players I would definitely want to keep as part of our squad for next season:

Dan Lincoln - with the proviso he's available from start to finish

Josh Jackman

Dan Bayliss

Temi Eweka

Tyrese Dyce

Scott Davies

Jeanmal Prosper

Johnny Goddard

Matt Lench

Leon Parillon

David Ogbonna

Slavi Spasov

Gary Abisogun - proviso being that he's back to his best

Gabe George - I would send out on loan to gain further experience

Oliver Spicer - Possibly out on loan depending on his improvement

That would leave room for 4 or 5 quality signings.

So basically everyone barring Nathan???

Harsh RR, he’s worth a place in the squad. We do need another striker and a replacement for Nashy.

I do not think Joe will return, he’s good enough to be starting somewhere at this level.

However, 4 or 5 quality signings, depends what you mean by quality but I very much doubt the budget will be available for that. Maybe 2 but no more.

I think Joe is more than capable to play this level it’s just that Scott wants to play himself

Agree Mark but Scott has to play himself, the drop off when he doesn’t is considerable in my opinion. Scott has admitted that he doesn’t actually want to be playing as much as he is but needs must

Not sure I agree to much with that I think Scott is a 30 minute player now plenty of skill and commitment and communication but the legs and pace have gone for this level of football now

Wow!! Completely disagree, pace isn’t everything but when Scotty has to shift he does!

I can only assume you haven't seen any of our games this season?

If you have I'd have to seriously question your judgement.

I think Scott has said if he ever thinks he's not good enough or there is someone better he would willingly step to one side.

Without making his head bigger 😅 imo he's been a crucial player in our side this season.
