It's a results business

Well not easy on the eye and probably the worst Canvey side to visit the Bridge in a long while but we dug in and got a result,up the Urchins

Didn’t play particularly well today. Felt like the game was petering out to a 0-0 draw. The front 3 are a bit off it at the moment, although our defence was as solid as usual and we were never under any real threat of losing that game (even though when Higgins came on you might have been thinking he would grab the winner). Thought Scannell coming on made a massive difference, missed him against Chatham because he was playing really well until he got injured. Main thing is bouncing back after a loss and we did that, great finish from Akinwande as well. A good response from us but we need to go again against Lewes on Friday.

3 points in the bag against a bogey team. Thought we were the better side but from what I saw of the first half it wasn’t the best of games but the second half we were better. Great win COYU 

[The Pars]

After the defeat against Chatham, I was expecting to see a reaction to that. But instead was “treated” to a woeful performance that was so bad that Canvey not an Island who were the worst team I have seen this season  so far were beginning to believe they could win it. The game changed after we scored and Scannell made a difference of course.

It will be interesting to see if any of the starting 11 are rested against Lewes on Friday.

I thought I was watching the Chatham game again first half, very narrow. The change bringing Sean made a big difference, I did start to worry as the second half progressed the wind got up and Higgo came on. But thankfully a well taken set piece settled the nerves. A great goal from Femi took the points.  Go have a good Christmas see you all on Friday.
