Much bigger task than the Ebbsfleet game.

As per most cup shocks we'll have to play at our best and hope Bromley have an off day thinking we are there just to make up the numbers.

All we can do is give it our best shot.

I’d expect Bromley to rest some of their better players, they’ll certainly be utilising their large squad tomorrow. If we attack them from the go like we did to Ebbsfleet in the replay then who knows?

Time to focus on the league.

Farnborough next Saturday - could be intresting.

Farnborough beaten 4-0 at Taunton today Day claiming they just cant score. Says Taunton scored 4 from 7 chances they got 0 from 17!!

Interesting interview from Scott saying he is looking at a permanent Forward, rather than short term loans which he has to pander to.

It is now time to build a stable first team, and that will also mean stop giving A23 kids and EDS players games for their CV’s as we have seen this does not work as they are not even competitive with teams 3 levels down.

As Glen says we have £50K from the FA cup to invest in proper players, and as RR pointed out we need a midfield general such as Wilko (Darren Wilkinson) and everyone recognises our attack is not up to the job so probably 2 strikers and dump those not performing.

Its time to stop relying on favours and mates, and get serious about the future of the first team.

Whilst Scott is being forced into playing the A23 and EDS players the first team will be weak – A23 are still kids, learning their trade and building their strength and bodies. The EDS players did not make it at a higher level for a reason and these weaknesses are showing through.

So, it is time to put a proper 1st team together and this will have a far better chance of securing a better league position.

The current “experiment” has not worked.

Time for Scott to be given the right resources from the owners.

Just on that, I do believe we are maybe second on goals scored in the league when it comes to goals to game ratio… just behind Yeovil who are top. (I’ll wait to be corrected). We’ve also had the most shots per game in the league this season and faced the second least shots so I’d like to think the balance isn’t too bad…

Also, the top scorer in the Championship last season was Chuba Akpom who plays the same position at Johnny Goddard. Football is forever changing with other players in different being the ones who get the opportunities.

Im sure the Middlesbrough fans didn’t say ‘the attack isn’t working’. Goals can come from anywhere, which they have been.

Obviously we want strikers to score, but that’s only if nobody else has been scoring, which hasn’t been the case!

Some big assumptions there Sir Rebel.

To state the obvious, the aim of including the best of our youngsters into our first team squad is to attract other aspiring, talented youngsters to the club knowing that we do have a 'proven pathway' into our first team if they are good enough.

As far as I can recall the A23/EDS players in our squad have been used very sparingly with only a few being given minutes at the appropriate time in the odd game.

If Scott was being 'forced' into playing our academy youngsters, which I'm sure he isn't, I think we'd have seen a lot more of them than we have so far.
