Shame because I think given the chance he had the attributes to be a good player for the club.

Shame for Tom but unfortunately it’s no surprise. He wasn’t going to get any more minutes with Alexander, Platt and Minhas above him. Although with Alexander leaving in a couple of months and Minhas struggling for goals I wonder if Scott will replace or maybe wait until January?

At his age he definitely needs regular playing time.

Although he’s made 12 appearances for us, there were only 2 starts, less than 270 minutes of playing time, & therefore not surprising no goals.

I’m pretty certain from what we have seen from him though that he will score a fair few goals a level down at Beaconsfield.

No guarantees that we'll have George and Dom beyond January so hopefully Scott has his eyes peeled for replacements.

Gary Abisogun will be a straight replacement for Dom so not concerned there. But yes come January we may only have 2 strikers which I’m sure will be addressed, possibly sooner…

Forever looking! Eyes are always peeled.  👍🏼😀 There won’t be anyone coming in imminently but over time I’m sure we might add to the group. But, right now I’m extremely happy with what we have in the squad.

Scott, how far off is ‘Abs’ from being involved in a matchday squad?

He trained last night for the first time which was great to see. He will most likely be back fit and available for us in late December. Gaz will go out and get games elsewhere first. Will be a huge positive to get him back!

Do you have any connection with Shane Long other than this match when you both started for Reading against Newcastle as youngsters at St James’ Park?

He must be getting bored since retirement in May, & if so, maybe you could persuade him to play for free 😀

Hopefully Tom will excel at step 3 level, unfortunately for me he wasn’t step 2 standard and was wasting his time with the odd few minutes here and there with us.

Played fairly well, decent sharp finish for his goal and complimented Beaconsfields team fairly well. Reminds me of Scott Harris in the way he plays
