Those who didn't listen in on Rebels Radio (and see the comments) for the Eastbourne match won't have seen this, but there was for a while a belief (among some on the chat section) that one or two players may have been swinging the lead and taking it easy for the Grimsby match. I'd hate to think that this was true. This was all conveniently forgotten by the end of the match however!

Yesterday we named a subs bench nearly a big as the starting line-up. I don't see why, with proper rotation, we can't name strong sides for these two vitally important league games.

When you're losing 3-0 all sorts of things are said in the heat of the moment on social media.

That's not to say it doesn't happen the game before a massive cup tie because I'm sure it's always somewhere lurking in the thought process of players.

Despite their league position Truro have the 9th best defence in the division so if there is to be a winning outcome to tonight's game I expect it will be by the odd goal.

You could be correct RR Truro conceded 5 goals in their first two league games by 15th August  In all away league games since then they've conceded just 4

Top performances all round especially from the players given a chance to impress.

First real viewing of Mickel Platt, his hold up play and all round energy was excellent and can only get better with more games under his belt.

Oggy had an excellent game but on the night for me Jammers was my MOTM with an impressive midfield performance and a well taken goal.

Excellent nights entertainment and certainly better than staying in and watching the tele 😅

I guess that's what Scotty would call playing with the handbrake off !
If that is the case then Grimsby had better watch out.
I like to ponder about the team line up announced before kick off, trying to work out how I think we might play.
I wasn't able to do that yesterday, as I only got out of the queue in the clubhouse for my free drink ( thank you for that ), and found out the team line up, almost as the players were walkng  out onto the pitch.
It was a very adventurous line up.
It worked perfectly though.
It was a tremendous performance.
Every player put a shift in.
The closing down of the Truro players was amazing, from 1st minute to last.
We never gave them a moments peace on the ball.
I thought Tyrese had a great match.
His will to win shown in one incident in the 2nd half, when he rose powerfully on the touchline to win a header against a Truro player, and let out an almighty roar as he did so.
It rattled me and I was 10 yards away sitting in the stand, so God knows how the Truro player felt who had been demolished in the challenge.
If we can play every match with the same pace and power, we will soon be shooting up the league.
The only downer I had yesterday was the sight of Temi limping off the pitch in the last minute, although after watching Scott's interview it seems that Temi should be ok.
Shame there were only 400 there to witness the match, although I thought the support from behind the goal was really good last night.
( I don't want to sound like a broken record, but I say again I wonder how having a Tuesday night match available live on your tv for under a tenner is going to affect attendances at grounds. It was a pleasant November evening yesterday. Let's see what attendances are like in the depths of  winter.)
A couple of things to say about some articles in the match programme.
First of all I really do enjoy the pen pics which concentrate on asking a player questions about themselves.
Last night it was Josh Jackman's turn.
Thanks Josh for making this old git feel even older.
It seems his favourite football kit is a retro, hand me down 1988 England shirt.
Retro !
Hand me down !
I went to several games at that Euro 88 competition in Germany, ( including all the England games, God we were crap ), and I can assure you that it seems like it  was only 5 minutes ago to me that they took place.
It gets worse.
The footballing moment that Josh watched as a child which got him into football. was apparently Michael Owen's goal against Argentina in the 1998 World Cup.
I was there that night in St. Etienne too, and I can assure you that that definitely took place only about 5 minutes ago.
Also regularly in the programme, Brighton Rebel has an article.
They are always a good read, but last night's one was I thought exceptionally good.
Well done Brighton Rebel, and well done all the players and management last night on a tremendous result and performance. .

I know Mickel and David like wearing there socks in the Grealish fashion just my opinion but i am not a fan.

Mickel has been out for a while not wearing Shin pads could be injured again with another long lay off.

I.m old style i could not wear a shirt with out a tie.🤣

I'm pretty certain it's mandatory to wear shin pads.

With socks rolled down low it just looks like they haven't got pads on.
