Normally the four promoted clubs to the National League experience a surge in attendance  look at the Maidenhead experience when they were promoted  This year Oxford City have lept up 600  the other two by the low 400s and Ebbfleet?  55 on average!

Ebbsfleet's attendances were pretty decent before gaining promotion.

Oxford City's attendances have leapt up albeit from a much lower base and mostly when they've played the bigger sides like Chesterfield and Hartlepool.

Get through this round and all the glory hunters will come out of the woodwork and try and get their mugs on the TV, and when we are out of the cup they will disappear.

Which is no different to practically all non league clubs.

To get higher attendances on a regular basis you have to be successful, play good football and offer incentives to get the armchair/fair weather supporters to attend.

It's no coincidence that our attendances have gone up this season due to us offering something other than just a game of football.

Mixed emotions on this one, what looked like 2 errors from Rohan had cost us the win (will need to see replays if there are any to be 100%) but what a battling performance from the lads to get a draw and I’d certainly would have taken that before KO. For me Tyrese was MotM, an excellent performance. Great to be in the 1st round draw tomorrow hoping to get Reading or Wycombe at home. What a massive incentive that would be to win the replay (not that we should need any incentives!). Shame the England v Italy match is also on Tuesday as that will severely decrease the attendance.

Wow, the silence here is deafening! Was anybody on here at the match?

I listened in on Rebels Radio and today sounds like one of the best performances of the season; an excellent defensive display (for the most part) and unlucky not to sneak the win.

Well came away from the game yesterday feeling very proud on a outstanding performance to earn a replay but something was niggling at the back of my mind thinking what might have been. Anyway we go into Tuesday night's replay knowing we can do it, believe.

Upon returning home trying to wind down on a cold, dark lonely night in leafy East Oxford a thought crossed my mind and that was yellow cards in the FA Cup so I tried to find the rules but I could only see that if a player receives a yellow card in consecutive FA cup matches then they miss the next match. So going on yesterday's match George and Tyrese received yellow cards, it was George's first game so he's ok but Tyrese got a yellow card in the Salisbury replay and yesterday so if this is correct then he will be suspended for the replay which will be a huge loss.

I'm no expert on the rules but if we do have an expert maybe you can confirm what the actual rules are ( I think you're pretty good on things like this Reading Rebel )

Anyway if anyone wants about 10 minutes of quality entertainment then have a look at Mr White's the Dorking manager post match interview after their defeat to Horsham yesterday it's priceless

Thought it was an excellent performance, when we actually played some football we showed their defence was poor.  Yes Rohan looked to have made 2 mistakes for their goals but he pulled off two world class saves as well, the 2nd I've got no idea how he kept it out!

Now wealdstone are out, they should give us permission to play Dom, but if he wasn't available for first game would he be eligible for replay?

Post match interview from the Ebbsfleet manager.

A couple of interesting points he's mentioned:

They did their homework on us and targeted balls in the air from set pieces/corners as our keepers weakness with both of their goals coming from these set pieces.

It looks like they fully intend to do the same in the replay.

He reckons they had 90% of the play but it was difficult to play against 1 up front and 9 defending their box.

Does any who went agree or disagree with his view on the game?

Not sure of the rules but I thought you couldn't make a new signing and play them in any replay but no such problems if they are already signed and part of your squad.

As far as I can gather if a player gets two consecutive yellow cards in the FA Cup they are suspended from the next FA Cup game.

If correct Tyrese Dyce will be suspended for Tuesday's replay.

Whether Wealdstone let him play probably depends on their view on having him available for the FA Trophy.

So both FA competitions are treated as one? I always thought they were separate so if you got a red card in the cup it wouldn’t effect the trophy.

Hope you’re wrong as I think the vast majority who were there yesterday would agree he was our MotM.

Possession wise yes they had around that percentage. I’m hoping Rohan is in training every day until the match practicing his weaknesses.
