Just thought I'd mention that we haven't been eliminated at this stage since 1999. We won on all 5 occasions we've reached this round since.

So no pressure Scott!

Surely this can be reworded to make it even more pressure :D

So after both teams weak performances this weekend, it leaves this game wide open.

For Ebbesfleet they have to make good the home advantage and need a win to steady the ship.

For Slough the win is needed for the FA Cup cash and bring in the crowds to make the new owners financial model work.

Note: I see Bracknell have been picked as the televised game, so a nice pick up for them of the TV money and extra attendance!

How do we know the FA Cup cash is needed to make our new owners financial model work?

Most good astute owners would never plan their financial model around FA Cup winnings.

Just listened to the Ebbsfleet's manager interview after their weekend match defeat against Halifax.

Found it very interesting.

Talks about them being "mentally and physically" tired.

Yes I know Ebbsfleet are in the National League which is a massive step up from where we are, but I honestly think I'd prefer playing away against a team struggling for form and confidence in the bottom half of this league than a team flying high and full of beans at the top of ours.

Others may disagree !

If we were able to score first I think that would be massive.

Does anyone know if there is segregation on Saturday, as the ticket selection on the Ebbsfleet website has a home  option and an away option.

I can't recall if it was like this last season, when we weren't segregated.

That was playing Sat/Tuesday for a few weeks.

Of course they have no game this week.

When managers are losing games and under pressure they normally spout out rubbish about being tired.

Especially teams in the NL who in the main have large squads of 20+ players.

It could be an interesting match with regard to Ebbsfleet’s motivation…… not exactly a club that financially needs to progress in the FA Cup, & their main priority this season is likely to be establishing themselves in the National League (at present they are only 3 points above the relegation zone).

And if it’s level late on I could see them trying to force a result to avoid a replay.

Looking at their web site the Ebbsfleet players are looking forward to a week off from the pressures of the league.

They are aiming to replicate their FA Cup success of last season when they eventually lost to Fleetwood Town, which I think was on TV.

Not sure their financial wealth will be on the minds of the players, just more FA Cup glory and prestige in front of the cameras.

Didn’t they have a four league match losing streak shortly after losing to Fleetwood.

Normally the four promoted clubs to the National League experience a surge in attendance  look at the Maidenhead experience when they were promoted  This year Oxford City have lept up 600  the other two by the low 400s and Ebbfleet?  55 on average!
