The Eynesbury United v Peterborough & District League Premier Division Ramsey Town First Round tie was put back a week due to Eynesbury Rovers playing at home last Saturday, it should be an interesting contest tomorrow afternoon at Hall Road:

Iwen Jones made it 5 goals in 4 games when he scored two second half goals to send the Bulls through to the Hunts Cup Quarter Finals. After a dire first half Joe Gauge put United one up on 46 minutes, but they were soon pegged back. Iwen Jones then scored twice to give the Bulls the lead. Ryan Baxter tapped home the fourth and Archie Palmer charged down a clearance to make it 5-1. A good response after last weeks poor performance, into the hat we go for the Quarters. MoM Iwen Jones best player on the park.

Eynesbury United will host lowly Peterborough & District League Division One side Farcet United in the Quarter Finals of the Huntingdonshire FA Intermediate Cup, see the full draw, the tie will take place at Hall Road on Saturday 2 December, kick off 1.30pm. Farcet United sit second to bottom of the table with just four points from twelve League games played so Eynesbury United must be confident of reaching the Semi Finals of the competition:

No problems at Hall Road this afternoon and the Huntingdonshire FA Intermediate Cup Quarter Final tie between Eynesbury United and Peterborough & District League Division One Farcet United goes ahead this afternoon, apparently it will be a 2.00pm kick off despite Full Time and the Huntingdonshire FA website stating 1.30pm.

A comfortable win for Eynesbury United yesterday with clinical strikes from Iwen Jones, Chris Newton and Gabriel Tonks and they proceed to the Semi Finals of the competition along with Hemingfords United, St Ives Town Reserves and Somersham Town, the draw will be announced shortly:

Many congratulations to Eynesbury United for reaching the Huntingdonshire FA Intermediate Cup Final where they will meet Hemingfords United on Wednesday 20 March, venue still to be confirmed. See a match report where it would appear that the Semi Final tie was played at Hall Road afterall, very strange after the late announcement on Saturday that it had been switched to the nearby Ernulf Academy:

The Bulls made it to their fourth Hunts Intermediate Final in five years after their 2-0 win on a cold afternoon at Hall Road.

Firstly the Bulls would like to thank Matt Plumb for somehow getting the game on with most of the local games off, it was some achievement.

The game itself was not a spectacle and there were few chances, the Bulls best chance in the first half fell to Ryan Lee from the penalty spot but his effort was saved.

In the second half the gaffer made a couple of changes and the Bulls upped their game, on 67 minutes a great move saw Ryan Lee slip the ball through to Archie Palmer who rifled home to give the Bulls the lead. Palmer then doubled the Bulls lead when again he beat the St Ives Town keeper at his near post and the Bulls had one foot in the Final.

Both sides had chances but the Bulls managed the game and deservedly booked their place in the Final, the Final is on Wednesday 20th March against Hemingfords United at a venue to be announced. A great day for the young Bulls, a team that’s only been together for 20 odd games. Back to the League next Saturday when they travel to play MK Irish Reserves.
