Would also be interesting to know what happens if we draw Bromley or Wealdstone in the 4th Qualifying Round or later.

You’d expect the parent club to not allow their player to play against them?

Hope we don’t draw either as they’d be terrible draws!

I think I'd rather talk about future rounds if we manage to get past Hayes tomorrow.

I’m hoping we don’t underestimate H&Y and approach the game in the correct professional manner. Play like we have recently then we should have enough quality to go through. Am I right in thinking there are still replays in the qualifying rounds?

I'm sure that George/Dom would be allowed to play? both are on loan until at least January which is when 3rd round proper is so chances of Bromley/Wealdstone being there and then having one of those two starting would be very slim id have thought

Bad news on that front…

Bromley agreed to let George play and then changed their mind this week and Wealdstone won’t allow Dom to play either.

Fortunately Rohan has been given the green light.

That’s really frustrating especially when both can’t play. Both are back in form and have struck up a great understanding. I guess it gives others a chance, Minhas will start but I wonder if he’ll partner anyone or play alone?

Very frustrating but fortunately we’ve got very good replacements! They were both desperate to play so I tried everything I could but neither club were having it!

I think its a great opportunity for the other forwards to give Scott a real headache in selection for Farnborough next week.

As you say SF, now is the time to stand up and be counted for our other forwards.

We'll see what they're made of today in what is a big game for the club.

Comfortable win which could have been even more so was it not for their keeper making 2 great saves plus we hit the post twice I think? Luckily we didn’t need to rely on our subs as that bench was looking pretty young (although Jeff upped the average to around 42!). Let’s hope for a kind draw next I’d prefer an away trip to a lovely quaint village team.

Through to the next round in what was again hot conditions.

Plenty of chances for us first half but only the one was taken to give us a slender lead at half time.

Hayes threatened on a few occasions but some poor finishing and one very good save down low by Rohan along with a disallowed effort kept Hayes at bay.

Second half Hayes came into the game strongly looking for the equalizer but again a combination of good defending from us and some poor finishing kept the score at 1-0.

It needed a second goal to sew the game up which came courtesy of some good play and cross from Johnny Goddard to set up Nathan Minhas for a far post header to seal the win.

Glen, I too am hoping for someone like Barton Rovers or Didcot.  But you know it's going to be Canvey/Braintree don't you?

Great win yesterday, in what on paper looked a very tricky tie against well known local adversaries.

Where's the Scott Davies boo boys now - who wanted him sacked three games ago?

I noticed Josh Jackman wasn't playing against H and Y. Is he just missing for one game? Who played at right back yesterday?  What was our formation? I didn't make the game hence the questions. Can anyone oblige please?
