Malcolm Scott

Sad to read of the death of Malcolm Scott A club stalwart from the mid fifties to the late sixties A firm favourite of mine when I started regularly supporting the Rebels in 1960/1  He was 85.  How many still remember him?

A player of my youth for whom the description "stalwart" might have been invented. By no means a prolific goalscorer, his very late equaliser at Hazell's in October 1966 paved the way for the club's successful FA Amateur Cup run which put it squarely on the non-league map after a period of steady rebuilding and brought the crowds back to the Dolphin in their thousands.
