v Weston Super Mare

What a result and even more impressive away from home, clean sheet and against a side who had a 100% record! I’ll be honest I never saw this coming and would have been delighted with a draw considering our first 3 results. Sounds like we were still pressing for more at 3-0 up! Anyone who went can they comment on how our defence performed, did Temi make a big difference? Sets us up nicely for a big game next Saturday v Torquay United which I hope we can attract a minimum of 1,000.

Excellent result against a form team 👍

Well done to George Alexander on his hat trick 👏

Just down the road from you Adrian, did you go?

Sore point RR  went with Taunton supporter caught up in RTA approaching M25 and only saw the second half!! Didn't see anything that made me worry about a similar situation we found ourselves in last season Points on board against a good team and self belief will grow from there I.m.o.  Evening meal in Burnham on Sea and about to drive home.

Supporters who saw the 1st two games will say results were an injustice so getting Temi and George back is a massive boost to the club you hhave to take Worthing game on the chin.

Every player put in a shift today early goal was a real boost and Hubert keeping a clean sheet will do his confidence a world of good.

Do you still go to the games or have you just become a keyboard warrier.

He’s boycotting home matches as he didn’t agree at all with the new membership scheme! So would he pay £13 in advance or £15 on the day instead of just over £8 for being a member???

Two reasons, currently residing in France looking after a terminally ill relative & I have been diagnosed and being treated for Tuberculosis.

So not easy to get to games, so I hope you do not mind if I use a keyboard to communicate.

P.s. what is a warrier?

Getting back to the football, what a brave move to play three up front and go 4-3-3 I certainly wasn't expecting that. If it hadn't have worked I dare say we would have been inunadated with the moaners on here about such a foolhardy decision and another loss but instead it's great to have got the 3 points in the bag and shut them up so we can all celebrate the outstanding result.

The only downside really on the result is it's a pity Slough couldn't have added more goals to the scoreline in the 2nd half given Weston's Sam Avery's sending off but getting the win is far more important than that. Well done our Rebel lads.

I’d admit to being surprised with the 3 up front strategy and was a little concerned… but what a tactical master stroke! Of course we couldn’t play that system every game but Scott did his homework and it paid off lovely. This should really give everyone a massive lift now and confidence shoukd be high going into another tough set of games.

To be fair it sounded like we had a few further chances in the second half but the game was won at 3-0.

Totally agree 3spirit.

What amazed me even more was that we began the game keeping 3 up front on the halfway line when we were defending corners!

( I never understand why teams bring 11 players back into their own penalty box when they are defending a corner.

To me that only means the attacking team can pour as many of their players into attacking positions as they want ?)

Thought Scott led by example yesterday.

Our first goal was made by his 50/60 yard surging run into WSM's box.

At half time I said I'd be very happy with a dull, boring, uneventful 2nd half.

We'd done all the hard work in the first, and just needed to control the game and not give WSM a sniff of getting back into it.

This is what we did, but even so we could still easily have scored more goals.

Tremendous performance yesterday.

To be honest the people that post most on this forum are conspicuous by their absence at most away games. Not sure you

can be taken seriously posting on match thread if we werent even there.  It just clogs up the forum with rubbish.

TBF there could well be good reasons why a lot of supporters don't go to away games especially the distance ones.

As far as I can see I don't think anyone posts views in any detail on a game if they didn't actually attend.

Apart from that they have as much right to post their views as anyone who actually attended.
