Pre-season non playing observations

At the Uxbridge match the referee blew the final whistle with the stadium clock on about 88 minutes, I don’t think this was a referee error but a stadium clock issue. Do the Club know what the issue was & was it just a one-off issue?

At both the Uxbridge & Banbury match our announcer has had some problems promptly identifying & announcing player changes & goal scorers and pronouncing player names.

I have the upmost admiration for volunteers, and it might just be that there have been a lot of player changes this season, but I would think he might also benefit from some support or assistance.

On a different matter entirely, I was pleased to see how much sponsorship the club is now getting. It was good to see so many sponsor boards around the perimeter fencing. Well done to whoever has got this aspect working for our club.

The club certainly seem to be progressing on the sponsorship front.

How much it's to do with our new owners who knows?

Perhaps a question for them at the forum next week.

On the catering front, whilst I think it has definitely improved I think it could be improved further.

Sounds trivial but I ordered a hot dog on Saturday and a small roll was filled by an even smaller sausage, about half the size of the roll.

Perhaps get bigger sausages to fill the roll or even use frankfurters instead of proper sausages.

I think I heard someone say last night that they ordered a cheeseburger and there was no cheese available.

Also I think it was Warren that commented on Twitter about varying the menu a bit to something a bit more authentic with the area.

Small points and sometimes unavoidable and not possible but they can all add up to improving a supporters match day experience.

Hopefully the club will be continuing with the outside 'Street Food' type catering brought in at the back end of last season, all seemed to go down a treat.
