It’s very quiet on here, did anyone go to the match?

I doubt many bothered and I only usually go to 1 or 2 (haven’t been to any yet). What surprised me most tonight was the lack of players! Just 14 and 4 of those were trialists and Elite Development Squad players. Were the other 9/10 players all on holiday? But shows even with just 10 senior players we managed a decent result although no idea on the performance.

Don't know how many but it looked a reasonable attendance.

On the game, we started slowly and would have been 2 down if Wingate had scored their penalty.

Two good goals from Abisogun and one from Dandy at the far post gave us the win but in truth the score could have been 6-6.

It was a bit surprising to see so many players missing but probably typical for pre season.

Players were available, just wanted to get 90 minutes into the lads to see how they’re feeling so didn’t want to put others on the bench to get a few of them 20 minutes. 20 minutes for 3 of the EDS boys would mean a lot more to them which it did.

The ones not involved yesterday will all start on Friday. Myself, Jonny Giles (away with work last night), Kai Allsopp, Oscar Lucey and a few of the trialists that we have seen so far this pre season.

We have now let Ogo Obi go. Jeanmal Prosper and Mickel are carrying knocks.

Personally, I would rather not publicly hear our Manager’s reason(s) for releasing a player who is presumably now going to be searching around for another club before the season starts.

Fair enough but it happens all the time so I don’t think it’s an unfair question. I was surprised he came back and stated he was willing to fight a deal but obviously somewhere it’s gone wrong hence his departure.

Did I hear right from Scott that none of last nights squad will be involved in the Brentford game?

If so could we rustle up another 16 players?

He did say that in the interview yes. Some extra bits of info too about the potential new loan keeper!

James Trafford (20 years old…) has just signed for Burnley and might fancy the challenge of the NL South?

Not sure he's actually signed for Burnley yet but looking at his cv I doubt very much it's him coming on loan to us.

He seems to be hot property at the moment having won the under 21's euros with England saving a penalty in the final and not conceding a goal in the tournament.

£19 million Man City are asking with a buy back clause.

I find the releasing of Ogo Obi at this present time a strange decision. I thought he showed enough last season to  warrant being included in our 23/24 squad. Easily good enough to be in the 16 places for matchday and someone who can alter a dour game and stalemate up front. He's lively and creates openings. Agree he's not the most prolific of strikers but to me he didn't get lots of chances to improve in that facet of his game, with Francis Amartey stealing his spot last season, and Elliott Benyon being favoured.

I see this move as a duff decision. Why rush Ogo Obi out the door, when we still need to find out what Nathan Minhas and Mikkel Platt can do in the National South?

You might find it strange but there’s more to what goes on than what you guys see and I’d rather not work with Ogo at this present time. I’ll leave it at that.
