Sadly the Third Qualifying Round tie between Tring Athletic and Jersey Bulls was called off quite late yesterday afternoon due to a waterlogged pitch at Cow Lane, Jersey Bulls had travelled so you have to wonder why a decision couldn't have been made earlier with the forecast being for heavy rain later on in the day with so called 'Storm Babet' pending:

That’s so harsh on the lads but mostly on the club. Most have cost a serious amount of money to get them there and they now face having to pay again. Seems very unfair.

This goal mouth worried them. To be fair they did try and they did offer to delay the kick off time but the weather wouldn’t let up and the forecast is for it to continue for days.

An interesting development in that the Tring Athletic v Jersey Bulls FA Youth Cup Third Qualifying Round tie, controversially postponed late in the day last Wednesday, will now take place at Hemel Hempstead Town's Vauxhall Road ground. This may now give an advantage to Jersey Bulls who play on a 3g surface at their impressive Springfield Stadium in St Helier:

What a performance from Tring Athletic's youngsters last night at Vauxhall Road beating Jersey Bulls 4-0, many congratulations to them and good luck in the First Round proper of the competition against, wait for it, Berkhamsted FC at Cow Lane, see a link to the full draw. Berkhamsted FC had a very good 1-0 win recently at Uxbridge in the Third Qualifying Round and beat Slough Town in the Second Qualifying Round, Oxhey Jets in the First Qualifying Round and Hayes & Yeading United in the Preliminary Round so clearly they are a very good side:
