Just wondering if any of the other Rebel Army members are going to Wembley on Sunday and if so is anyone meeting up for a beer before?

Myself and the lad are in the Ascot quadrant if anyone is about?

6 of us attending Mark.  Think we are meeting in the Ascot assigned fans area prior to the game.

Great to see some support for Rhys and Ascot.....oh and Shane Bush if he's playing for Newport I guess but hoping Ascot can do it

Have to admit, mainly going for Rhys especially as Jamie trained with him until he left and then obviously helped warm him up on match days as and when.

Happy for Ascot though, used to play against them a lot back in the day and to see how much they've progressed is brilliant.

Will be there too, Ascot section. I lived in Ascot, played a bit for their vets team and still live nearby so duty bound to support them! Come on the Yellamen.

Yes good luck to Rhys and his team He's  been in brilliant form  9 clean sheets in 11 games after leaving us It will be a tough ask Newport Pagnell are the current Vase holders beating Littlehampton 3-0 last season.

Great to see 2 current (???) Rebels competing against each other today. Forster starts and Bush is sub. Remarkable turnaround in the season for Rhys. If you were him would you re-sign for Slough if no guarantees were given about playing?

Yes if he starts as first choice (no-one can expect 100% guarantee) but no otherwise. At his age playing regularly is most important.

This is the tricky aspect as no player can really expect to be guaranteed. He was just very unfortunate that another keeper became available which obviously worked out well. Be interesting to see what he decides but wouldn’t be surprised if he does re-sign but goes back out on loan to Ascot or ideally a club higher up.

Depends on what his ambitions are.

Rhys could stay at Slough possibly in competition with another keeper in the knowledge that if he's not first choice he will go out on a dual reg to another club.

Ascot have Jamie Ashdown but if they want Rhys as their first choice keeper and he accepts he will be playing at step 4 which is lower than when he started at Met Police.

Or on the back of his FA Vase win he could get his agent to try to find him another club at step 2 or above.

Quite a dilemma for Rhys after winning the FA Vase today. Ideally he’ll stay with us but be loaned or dual registered out (hopefully to a step 3 club) if his opportunities are limited. No disrespect intended to Rhys but I’m hoping we can sign a goalkeeper of the same calibre of Dennis.

Surely the question that needs asking is Why shouldnt he be first choice?
