v Braintree

Recommended Posts

Even though Braintree have qualified for the play-offs they will need to win to have any chance of a home fixture.

It would be an ideal end to the season if we could put in a good performance and get the 3 points in front of an expected large crowd.

Hopefully it will tempt some of the less frequent supporters back next season.

Tricky one as you say Braintree will be going for the win to try and get the home play off. But how motivated and competitive will we be now we’re mathematically safe? I’m sure SD already knows what players he’s keeping so it’s not like the players have one last chance to impress. But maybe with no pressure we can play with freedom and if there’s a decent crowd give them something to cheer about.

Just a quick question:

The match day info say's admission is £10 and £5 and then goes on to say 'save time and money by purchasing tickets in advance'.

Is it cheaper to buy tickets in advance?

Whilst we're on the subject of information for some reason the revolving home page info banner is not working.

It’s the same prices on the turnstiles, that was an error.

Im quite hopeful for this one Braintree will be under pressure to get a home playoff game but anxious to avoid any injuries prior to playoff matches We will be free of things we must do for the first time in weeks Braintree took points from 21 of their 23 home games  the leagues best perfomance but their last 5 away games have resulted in 1 win 2 draws and 2 losses No reason imo why we cant bag the 3 points to round off the Great Escape!

We were 19th at our worst  Todays final prediction says that Weymouth will be the 4th relegated club.

On 19th February we were 19th one of 3 teams on 42 points holding on to our status on GD !

So positionally we’ve not moved much from Scott’s first game. But add in the upheaval, the potential budget cut which could have seen many players leave and the turnaround of new players then yes we could have easily slipped into the relegation places and not recovered from that. Just a massive relief to be safe and hopefully we can look forward to a much more positive season in 2023/24 (which let’s hope we hear about very soon!).

I think our worst league position was on 20th December when we were 20th with 20 points from 22 matches

Thanks for that  As I said I only started to look when the item was posted in January.

18th place with 19 points from 18 matches.

Yes  with the 3 teams below us having games in hand and better GDs

Interesting to read in the Braintree pre match write up that weve already got more points than last season when we finished with 49
