Pred'n Lg, Final standings and playoff fixtures. Sat 22 April by 12:30

Right.  That’s it for another season.  (No, I'm NOT talking about the Isthmian Prem).   Many congratulations to Ozz who snared his fourth championship, and to Lord Upminster who cruised to his first ever Div 2 title (thereby completing the set – he won Div 1 once too you know).

Joining His Lordship in the auto promotion spots are “young” Tommy D, and “not-so-young” Clive – who leapfrogged MikeMike on a day of high intrigue and excitement.  (DISCLAIMER – all promotions subject to Rule 3.5).

In the playoffs we have a mishmash of all that is best about the open house policy of the Prediction League.   The urbane sophistication of the aforementioned MikeMike, the wide-eyed innocence of Baby Jago, the delusional utterings of COYS 1961, and the mysterious inner workings of Diamond Geezer.   Good luck y'all.

And now for the sad bit.  UrchinYid was already down (both statistically and spiritually), but he is joined in the wilderness by the dashed hopes of me (incredible I know), Mick The Bat (no surprise there) and, heart-breakingly, Blackballed.  This particular (and everyone’s favourite?) Dave was leapfrogged on the final day by both Mr D and Dinamo in a kind of Dave-Vortex-of-Hell, where the younger Daves simply trampled the old guy into the dirt.  SHAME ON THEM BOTH.

In other news we have raised £245 for the Supporters' association to squander invest as they deem fit.  Obviously assuming Ozz and Paul C both waive their winnings (no pressure chaps!) – they will of course get free entry next year and a precious "money-can’t-buy" place in the Hall of Fame.

Season Golden Boot - Sir Colin
Season Alarm Clock - Wivvers and Mojo (joint)
Wooden Spoon - Mojo

That’s it.  Playoffs next week.

Mike - I'll assume Fulham v Leeds is 1-0 unless otherwise informed.

Gutted .......

You were certainly a tad unlucky there.  But I think you need to have a serious word with Ozz.   It wasn't as if he needed the points!

Anyway - join me on our Div 2 adventure.  It will be nice to visit some new grounds.  Even if some of them are not much more than a roped off bit of sheep farm.
