Yes but have these new owners got the finances to make these number of changes. I think on this topic some of us are jumping the gun as we don't really know if Scott Davies and Lee Togwell will be retained as managers, or players come to that.

The A23 owners may be wishing to go an entirely new route with all young players next season with a brand new manager/coach at the helm and very different ideas to what the Slough Town FC model has been for numerous years. The sooner this forum happens the better,as it will be good to get some answers to these sorts of questions before going into the summer break.

Scott Davies will be our manager next season you can bank on it!

I think it’s only fair Scott gets a full season and the chance to recruit properly next season to see how far he can take us. Obviously budget will determine on how well he does but hopefully it’ll be competitive enough to give us a chance higher up the table.

People forget the utter mess he inherited Hes worked wonders with limited cash but responsible for some inspired loans and some great on field performances I'll  be more than happy if he's  retained as manager next season

Not so sure I agree on the limited cash.

The first two months I was under budget as I didn’t want to sign people for the sake of signing people, and like you say, there was a lot of uncertainty with everything going on. There was also a lack of players that were available.

I think Bakes and Unders had the same approach and would spend the money as if it was their own and wouldn’t be wasteful or overspend on players. That’s always something I’ve had in the back of my mind and tried to stick to that.

The last few months, particularly Franny’s injury, meant that I asked for a replacement and the club/board/owners backed me which took us over the budget that was first agreed.

Give it another few days, maybe a week and hopefully they will all agree that it was the right decision and it’s paid off to allow us to do that bit of business!

Having better attendances certainly helps when I go and ask for extra, that’s for sure! 😅

Nothing has been sorted/signed with regards to next season but I wasn’t ever looking that far ahead to be honest, it would’ve been stupid to have done that with our league position. I had one aim and hopefully we have achieved that.

Glen  certainly in the early months otherwise we wouldnt have had to avoid relegation at the death!

Amartey and Alexander, full time players at a level above would not come cheap (obviously depending on what wages split we agreed on). Eweka, Dennis, Woodhouse too would cost a bit plus the other loanees we’ve had. Including the players out on loan/dual registered we have a squad of around 22 players.

Thats what I said  early months with little money and a necessary rise to avoid relegation but money alone didnt achieve that the skillful use of that extra money did imo

Why don’t we report him to the league then? How unprofessional aswell you’d think he’d have some brains and do it privately and not publicly on a match day!

Well at least we know our first retained player for next season, I wonder how many more from this seasons squad will make it?

Hopefully Scott has targets already lined up and we can do our business early.

I think you'd have to prove it and unless there were witnesses to what he said it's basically his word against Matt Lench.

Correct but in the main it'll probably be players having to leave to bring players in.

You can never be certain but if we stay up and they want the job you can bet your bottom dollar that Scott and Togs will be in charge next season.

'All young players next season'?

If they want the club to be relegated that's the way to go.

Lenchy was told about this on the forum and messaged me to say ‘Spencer only said well played to me after the game. No tapping up’. 👍🏼

Lenchy wanted to clear that one up! 😅

My opinion is anyone expecting a play off push next season is being far too optimistic.

This season has been far too unpredictable and we’ve survived with 2 games to go basically.

Next season should be stability and a comfortable finish of say between 14th and 10th should be the aim.

Finishing 10th would suggest a play off push was close!

I keep saying to myself be patient and wait to hear from the new board but it’s beyond frustrating how long it’s taking to sign off some documents! Can only think there are another 100 clubs all doing the same! Well you’d hope this meeting will take place sometime before the new season and then we’ll be able to gauge a lot closer to what our aims might be.
