Oh lordy.  It’s certainly tight at the top.  Very good v Billericay I thought. Keep it going boys.

It’s also pretty tight for the relegation spots in the good ol’ Predicition League.  With ONE WEEK TO GO,  Blackballed, Paul C and Dinamo are still not safe (noting that Dinamo has harnessed his inner West Brom to go three without a win just as he looked safe for another surprise year in the elite).   

Mr D, Mick the Bat, and my good self are meanwhile throwing money around in increasingly desperate attempts to stay up.  (I can provide my bank details if required).   But I’m afraid it’s time to bid a fond farewell to UrchinYid, whose star-studded team will now be “gracing” various Dog and Duck outfits down in Div 2.

It’s equally tight for the auto-promotion and playoff slots.  Only the imperious Lord Upminster is guaranteed promotion – and everyone down to 9th place can still make it up to Div 1.  Most interest will centre on the battle for the final playoff spot, where only one of COYS, Wivenhoe and The Dummies can secure a somewhat undeserved shot at the big time.  Who will it be? (Well certainly not Wivvers if he forgets to predict again!).

Onwards to next week and the final knockings.
