V Ebbsfleet

Unlucky Rebels. Didn't deserve to lose that. One moment of quality and of course it goes to the opposition.

However this was another game which we could still be playing at Christmas and we wouldn't have scored. Worrying.

Put up a good fight but ultimately they were superior and comfortably won in the end. We just didn’t create enough but up against an experienced full time side it’s always a tough ask. Just hope other results go our way as I feel with our remaining matches v Hemel is a must win.

Not sure a draw would have been fair! They hit the post twice and had the majority of possession. I’m sure a few of us expected them to score more so from that angle we did ok but creating chances were pretty low today.

I dont think a single goal loss to a team currently 21 points ahead of the pack is a huge problem  There was  certainly more effort and a higher workrate than in the last two very poor efforts Possible/probable good news is that the

3 teams immediately below us all have very difficult games later  2 against teams in the top5 and 1 against Bath

Feel very flat after this game for some reason, cannot help but look at the bottom of the table and think s***!

We have to get something at Hemel.

It really is a dog fight at the bottom of the 3 teams below us 2 have won Taunton and Welling and DH have drawn this pushes us down to 19th

Wycombe Rebel  for the first time after todays results  Im having to address the possibility that we could be relegated I really did think we'd fight at least as well as the other threatened teams but sadly not so far.

Forget about Taunton they have too many games in hand to be involved a relegation scrap.

It's all the other sides around and below us we need to worry about.

Adrian, we are fighting like the other threatened teams.

Wins away to Concord and home to Hungerford are proof that we are still battling away for survival.

Play like today and we'll have no problem.

Losing today against a quality side who have walked this division will not change the course of our destiny.

Enjoyable game with some excellent football played by both sides.

Of course Ebbsfleet had the majority of the ball and better chances that's why they're a highly paid full time team who are strolling to the title.

It took a top draw strike to stop us snatching a point which is something we should all be proud of.

I thought every played stepped up to the challenge with Togs and Johnny Goddard having their best games so far this season in a Slough shirt.

Very Impressed with George Alexander who's work rate and touch was impressive.

Play like that in our remaining games and we'll have no problem avoiding the drop.

RR As I said this is the first time Ive seriously considered the possibility of relegation mainly because of the unexpected results some of the basement teams are getting we need to give everything It really is backbones and bollocks time.

We played well - so much better than Eastbourne or Farnborough. Ebbsfleet were better throughout, but we only lost to a moment of true class. George Alexander fitted in well and Luca fought hard against some very good Ebbsfleet play down their RHS. Every reason to think we can get enough out of Hemel, Chippenham, Taunton, Farnborough, Weymouth, Braintree.

Of course but just because we lost to a quality team like Ebbsfleet shouldn't sway your opinion, it's one game with 6 games to go.

Now next week is a game I think we need/should get something from preferably the 3 points.

RR I only said it was the first time ive really accepted the possibility of relegation  Do I think it will happen? NO  If we treat every remaining game as a must win  I expected a loss today  but what has let us down is inconsistency  One excellent performance followed by  very poor one and we dont know which Rebel team will turn up!
