We really do need to get back to winning ways as others in the basement are beginning to understand the trouble theyre in and picking up unexpected points

Concords pre match assessment believes this will be a draw since our last 5 meetings have been a Concord win and 4 draws They’ve  been very poor lately 1 home win in the last 5 and the last 3 home games all losses. Wont be easy Theyre fighting for their status but we really need these 3 points

Right, time to concentrate on tonight's big game.

We haven't beaten Concord since 2018 so a midweek trip to play on what can be best described as a poor playing surface isn't the most appealing.

4 out of the last 5 encounters with Concord have ended in a draw so a close game is pretty much on the cards.

A draw wouldn't be the worst result but we've got to start picking up some wins pretty soon and hopefully tonight is one of them.

We have to win tonight as Hungerford is tougher in my opinion and they’re bit of a bogey team for us plus it’s a county derby and they desperately need the points. Then the next 3 are all against top teams where it’ll be very difficult to get a win. So tonight and Saturday we realistically need 2 wins, minimum 4 points.

Good luck to Scott and the lads tonight and safe travels to all making the trip to Canvey Island.

Football commitments elsewhere have me tied up this evening, lets bring home those three points!  🙏

Concord are in poor form at home, with 1 point from their last four home matches, and that was a 90th minute equaliser against Cheshunt.

Their last home league match was a 5-0 defeat to Weymouth, and they are poorly supported as well, I would be surprised if the attendance is more than 250 tonight.

We aren’t in great form, but we have won two of our last four away matches, and should be buoyed by the result on Saturday.

I’m hoping for a win but expecting it to be another draw.

I’m hoping Francis will be on the bench tonight and can make an impact if he gets 20-30 minutes. But we have get at them from the first whistle and maybe pretend we’re playing with 9 men!

Yes Great result and Im also pleased for Ogo Obi whose confidence will soar im sure especially with Francis also in the team as they help us retain our status

We did what had to be done and did it well I did say in my preamble that a number of our rivals were beginning realise they were in a fight for survival H&R Cheshunt and Chippenham all won tonight and Hungerford drew.

I expect Francis will be in the squad but not necessarily in the starting 11.

Got to be careful that his hamstring doesn't go again so a cautious re introduction is probably on the cards.

You are absolutely right, several clubs in the bottom third have definitely started to hit form.

I am still of the opinion 50 points will be required to be safe, and Dulwich & Taunton are looking like they could be vulnerable. Although Taunton have 5/6 games in hand they have 10 league matches between the 1st & 29th April which could be their downfall.

As the season winds down you will find there will be sides that have nothing to play for so teams at the bottom end fighting to avoid the drop will pick up a lot more points.

I cannot see Taunton being in any danger, far too many games in hand.

Welling and Dover could get dragged into it but in reality and taking Taunton out of the equation I think it's from us downwards.

I think 50 points for safety is about right so with 10 games left where in your opinion are we going to get ten points from?

Three wins from :- Hungerford (H), Eastbourne [A), Hemel (A), Chippenham (H), Taunton (A), Weymouth (A)

At least a point from :- Ebbsfleet (H), Farnborough (H & A) Braintree (H)

Our results are inconsistent at the moment so it’s impossible for me to be more specific than that.

Survival is very muçh in our hands We've  10 games left 5 Home and 5 away but just 2 off those games are against teams in the  champions/ playoff group  !

You could possibly add the two games against Farnborough into the mix if they win their games in hand.

With 3 games against sides fighting for survival that's, as it stands, 7 games out of 10 against sides with a lot to play for.

With a thin squad we've got to hope that key players don't pick up any injuries.

As you say Adrian the positive is that it's in our hands.
