Any thoughts on this one?

I'm going 2-2

Crowd 600

We certainly can’t afford to lose this one, hopefully at least a draw and you never know if we play our best we may grab a win. Don’t care how we play tomorrow it’s all about the result. I would hope for a massive reaction from Tuesdays performance/result, let’s get in their faces from the off, be confident and go for it! Crowd wise unfortunately probably low 600’s.

They had a brilliant start to their first year in this league  but their last 7 away league games produced 2 wins 3 draws and 2 losses  In our position we really must fight for  everything  I not expecting a loss.

We must do everything not to lose as that’ll be 5 defeats in 6 going into an absolutely massive game on Tuesday at Concord. Let’s do the hard graft tomorrow and get a win then there’s not so much pressure on Tuesday!

Chelsea at home to Leeds United at 3 pm.

Maidenhead United at home to Wrexham at 5.20 pm.

Wycombe Wanderers at home to Exeter City at 3 pm.

Worthing should bring more than some clubs do; we might attract 2 or 3 U 'As fans not making the trip to Truro City but overall, the above do not bode well for the gate so I will go for 643.

5 league matches ago Worthing lost 4-5 at home to St Alban's Cty in a match which was 3-3 after 35 minutes; in their last league match Worthing drew 1-1 at Chippenham Town.

We lost 1-3 at home to Worthing in the FA Cup on 17th September when we seemed to have the match well under control at 1-0 and drew 2-2 at Worthing in the league on 29th October.

Worthing have scored 65 goals in the league but conceded 50. Our last two home matches we lost 0-3 to Welling United (HT 0-3) who have scored 43 goals and Bath City (HT 0-0) who have scored 48 goals.

What puzzles me, is that we have seen some great goals from the likes of Scott Davies, Johnny Goddard, Josh Jackman, Matt Lench and Ogo Obi but despite having much of the play, never really looked like scoring in those last two home games. But Scott Davies is confident of the sixteen man squad that he has chosen for the last three games.

I will go for Slough Town 3 Worthing 2. I am sure that the match has at least five goals in it!!!

Our league position and home form says that we haven't got a prayer in picking up a point let alone a win from this game.

I think we can upset the odds with a shock 2-1 win.

Talking of shocks RR, did you notice last evening that BARNEconsolidated their fourth place with a 0-1 win at Southend United who would have displaced BARNET in fourth if they had won.

On 3rd October 2022 you wrote, "Barnet were stuffed 0-5 at home by York City and are now mid-table only 5 points off a relegation place. Mid-table at best this season."

Early days Shredding, anything is still possible.

The nine Slough players left on the pitch are going to have to put in a shift and a half now.

Well who saw that coming! Nearly an hour with 9 men to not only score but keep Worthing out is some feat and those 9 deserve all the praise they get. But the 2 sending offs, Dandy’s challenge didn’t look great and I wasn’t surprised to see him sent off. On another day maybe he would have got lucky and got a yellow but I think the majority of times that’s a red. But Benyon’s red was pure stupidity from him. I saw him push/shove one of the Worthing management a couple of times plus he was mouthing off at everyone. I hope the club fine him as this was totally preventable. Oddly we played so much better especially attacking wise when we had 9 men, maybe a tactic to use again! Just a shame other results below us went against us. 2 massive games coming up and we need a minimum of 4 points from these.

The Worthing bench got Dandy sent off!

One of the best performances I've seen this season Special mention to Ogo worked his socks off Their defence had no answer to him other than hold him back which the ref let go all game

100% There are 30 stone guys on the sidelines who can barely tie their own shoelaces critiquing the workrate of guys like him. He was brilliant today.

Well, what a game that was!! Those 9 men deserve a free bar tonight Scottie!!🍻. I actually didn't think Dandy's challenge was a red card but because it was right infront of their dugout and the complete overreaction by their bench with their shouting and screaming it swayed the ref. The Benyon sending off was stupid by him but controlling your emotions is easier said than done at times especially if you feel justified in your actions. Second half the players ran their absolute nuts off and although his finishing needs working on Ogo Obi lead the line brilliantly and had their defenders worrying with his pace. Motm for me today was Will Dennis. Controlled his box well, made some crucial saves and was very smart in his time wasting to give the players a breather and re group. Up the Rebels 🟡 🔵

Absolutely brilliant from the 9 men on the pitch, Ogo ironically played better as the lone striker and caused so much trouble for their defence, I thought Gabe was brilliant today especially first half and his delivery with his left foot is outstanding. As said above Will in goal was superb. Temi just gets better and better with every game. That's the most pumped I've been at a game. Incredible when we equalised! Well done Slough!

What a second half performance. Although he didn’t score, hopefully that can be the making of Ogo. Took responsibility, looked dangerous and got us up the pitch. Goddard was my motm until he came off. A mention for Gabe as well, we looked more balanced at the back with him on the left. Don’t think I’ve enjoyed a Slough goal as much as that for a long while.

Totally agree on Gabe and Will both had outstanding games, puzzled why Gabe hasn’t been played more he has a lot of potential and should be a regular.
