Another attempt to see Lutterworth Athletic, another issue. There was no match day tweets leading up to the game. I had tweeted Lutterworth about this a few months ago following a wasted trip however they referred me to FA Full Time. So today, I checked FA Full Time and see the 15:00 KO on the site. I arrive at 14:07 and the game was already kicked off at 14:00.

Admission - £5, Attendance - 17
Venue: Leicester City Youth Academy - Temporary pitch hire from Lutterworth at Leicester City’s old training ground in Aylestone. The game was on the 3G pitch at the back. Only one touchline available within the cage. Tea/coffee available.
Game - Decent game overall, luckily my late arrival didn’t miss any action. The home side play some really nice stuff. If they had basic communication skills over social media, they may get more of a following. Eaton Socon looked like a completely different team to when I last saw them, not sure what has happened to their squad with only the manager and one sub in the dug out today.

Rothamstead Park Entry £5 (conc). Programmes no.
New ground for me today and took the train, station just over a 5 mins walk away. Clubhouse next to the entrance and then all the furniture down one side. A small stand, 5 rows of benches which just crosses the half way line. Bit of cover nearer the clubhouse. Haven’t seen the attendance yet but would estimate around 130, including a lot of youngsters. Whilst that in itself is good their overall behaviour left a bit to be desired. That’s probably me becoming a grumpy old git.
As for the game – instantly forgettable. Only goal was after 10 mins, after a mistake in the defence. Nothing else really of note. Got to see the poor matches to appreciate the good ones.
