Next opponents FA Trophy

Would love to get either Hornchurch or Daggers assuming they can win through in their matches. A local derby against either of these two would be a great crowd puller.

As for teams we don't want an away tie to either Shrewsbury or Exeter would be very difficult but then again it would be a great day out and a chance to see how we would do against former football league ties.

An away draw to either Altrincham or Stalybridge wouldn't be much fun (a long coach journey to deepest darkest Manchester on Valentine's Day, hardly glamourous, is it?!)

To be honest looking at some of the teams still left we shouldn't be fearing anybody. It's a question of ifs and buts at the moment because there are only 4 sides definitely through.

We'll take whatever challenge is thrown at us!

Let's hope we don't get Blyth Spartans away if they do Aldershot!

There are one or two things you should know about the 'Bridge before making sweeping comments about us.

We are not and never have been in "deepest darkest Manchester", and what's more we have no wish to be. Our ground is possibly one of the most picturesque in the North West and you won't need to go anywhere near the Manchester Metropolis if you come up the M1 and over the Pennines from Sheffield (junction 35A).

If anyone is coming up on the Friday "Stalyvegas" will be happy to greet you...just avoid the "Stop and Rest", although the other 30-odd pubs should keep you happy. Only one Indian Restaurant though...

Malaria and Cholera jabs will not be necessary, although it might be an idea to bring some Anadin Extra for your headaches 'cos the beer is stronger up 'ere.

We don't have a pie 'n' mash shop, and jellied eels are a no-no.

Our Manager isn't fat but he does a mean Axl Rose impression.

Oh, and we just might give you a game...

So you're not Mancunians and go around saying "alright our kid" and "mad for it" then? <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

And - When we are not out looking for the latest Rat Traps laid out by our foes the Shrimpers who I may add are soon to become a Conference outfit!!!!

Bower Boy- Having spent a tour holiday North of Manchester a good few years back, I am sure we returned via the high road and down to the M1, very scenic but is it passable at this time of the year??

Are you going on this one Andy??

If so how are you traveling?

A little insight into Stalybridge for you Canvey fans...

We have very much underperformed this season because at the start we were one of the favourites to win the Unibond. Injuries, Suspensions etc have been the main problem but doesn't every club have them?

In the Trophy we beat Redditch 3-0 away followed by a 1-1 at Leigh RMI who then got thrown out for fielding a rogue player and then we beat Marine after a replay.

If you can get up to Stalyvegas on the friday you'll have a good night out followed by the match on Saturday.

Hope to see you there!

Well alittle about us we are top of the league hopefully we should get to the conference after the past 2yrs of being bridesmaids. If we are on our A game we are a very decent side.I look forward to making the journey with ,no offence to you but to nick a win and get to the next round. But the league is the most important and i also have us at 30-1 to win the Trophey..Come on you Yellows!!!

also in fa cup 1st round we drew at barnet 2-2 which was brilliant and even though we lost the replay 2-0, we had a penalty at 1-0 which would have got us right back in it but we missed. we definatley deserved a draw though so we might give you a game depending on which stalybridge turns up... hopefully the good one!
