Good thinking Ian 😏

I did notice that with Matt Hall injured we drafted in Rhys Forster to sit on the bench.

I can't remember the last time we had a keeper as one of our 5 subs.

It’s a concern when we need a goalie to make up the subs. Is there a reason we can’t name any A23 players as a sub? Surely there must be 1 or 2 good enough and certainly better than a goalie option?

Was disappointed by some of our so-called fans behind the goal regarding abuse of the referee and the linesman during the second half. Although it is

frustrating to lose in such a manner, you cant slag off the ref  and call  her a bitch just because you are losing. If we want to attract

more fans, this type of conduct does not help.

The ref did okay she had a lot to contend with

Usual rubbish wasting time .Big rumble at the jungle produced two yellows near the end

Did she make any  huge errors no.

We lost nothing to do with ref what so ever

We all have our rants when we are ill done by

Calling that was wrong ill mannered and what for absolutely nothing

If anyone wasn’t at the match please make sure you watch the highlights when they are available.

We made three very poor defensive errors that were punished by a lively striker. Other than those it felt like a fairly even match where we had some good opportunities where I was surprised we didn’t score.

Overall the result didn’t feel reflective of the match in general, & on another day we may have only lost by a single goal or nicked a point.

There was also abuse coming from the main stand as it was picked up on the radio commentary.

Why on earth would  they do that

Make no sense to me

The ref she done okay

Wasting time was a huge factor in the game

Welling player just before half time said to the full back just kill the game

She did not turn her back on it kept telling them

Welling players were streetwise shouting across to the lino where they were suppose to take the restarts

Wasting time is a merky area all right when you are winning but opposite when losing

Agreed. Whilst there were some questionable decisions mainly concerning timewasting (does anyone know what Will Dennis was booked for?), it simply didn't warrant the vitriol aimed at her and the senior linesman. There have been many other refs who've done likewise and not been subjected to that level of abuse. What must the kids' team and the parents have felt?

I also don't understand how those behind the goal could be so sure that the chance about halfway through the second half was definitely over the line. It happened so quickly, there were several players on the line ready to hook the ball clear, and from my perspective there were at least a dozen fans standing directly behind the goal whose heads obscured my view, so I couldn't make a judgement one way or the other. This didn't stop many of those standing near me howling. A fan who managed to video the incident played it back, and from what I overheard said it wasn't conclusive one way or the other. This didn't matter though, so cue a load of verbal towards the lino for the remainder of the game.

I felt the atmosphere in the second half was distinctly hostile, and not welcoming for any potential new supporters who may have been tempted to come along in light of our recent upturn in form. If this is what's going to happen whenever a referee makes a contentious decision we not going to have anyone ever becoming referees. And no referees = no game.

The ref might have kept telling them about wasting time but did she do anything positive to stop it?

It wasn't until 10 minutes from time that she decided to book the keeper for wasting time when he was doing it continually for large parts of the game.

You're right it's ok when you're winning and your team does it but if refs used some common sense and cut it out much earlier it would be fair for both sides.

I agree with you  refs have to be stronger

No yellows

Just a big warning then a red

Yellows are a waste of time

End of the day , people always going to have there opinions and you can't stop that, that's football for ya , also we wouldn't be having this conversation if it was a man ref,  the ref was awful for both sides,  she was awful at Dorking last season aswell,  there will always be swearing at football no matter what its passion of the supporters,  yes its not great but it happens,

Also everyone on here is moaning about these people behind the goal voicing there opinions to refs and linesman,  but happy to voice your opinion about the players or management making mistakes,  don't get it there human, we all make mistakes, we got to look where we was few months ago , scotty has come in and has been fantastic done such a great job , yes himself and management are going to make mistakes as supporters we have get behind them and players , yes obviously as supporters we want to the best for the club,  scotty, togs, yella knows what they doing,  it's a tough job anyway to have some of the supporters on there back too , but I understand its passion for the club but please get behind management and players.  Sorry rant over .

There is a big difference between voicing your opinion about refs and linesman and totally abusing them. Check your grammar and spelling

also.

As far as I can see the opinions on this forum on the mistakes made by the players/management are reasoned/constructive opinions and not in any way abusive.

As you say they're all human and will make mistakes, that also includes Refs and linesmen.

By all means have a go at the ref or linesman, I think most supporters do in the heat of the moment at some stage in a match if the officials are particularly poor but there is a difference between having a go at an official and abusing them.

I don’t agree.

At our level players & officials are going to make howlers at times. The officials aren’t being biased, they are trying to do their best, and I really can’t see how giving them grief or abusing them helps in any way.

That's your prerogative Curtis but I'd say the vast majority of people who go to watch their team play are passionate supporters who mainly through frustration voice their opinion of what they deem to be poor officials without becoming abusive.

Some do it vociferously and some just curse to themselves.

It's been part and parcel of football since the year dot.
