Youre correct  Its their chosen day for midweek fixtures not  an individual arrangement.

Possibly got to fit in with the Athletics club at some point across the week.

I thought they always play their home midweek games on Monday.

Whats the reason behind Beaconsfield playing home midweeks on Mondays, anyone know?

I'm pretty sure we played them as in an U18s matches the last few seasons on Weds nights but that may have changed now?

They do.

Clubs have to nominate their midweek match day before the season starts.

I'd say it's either something to do with the Athletics or avoiding Champions League football to get a bigger attendance.

5 changes from Saturday.

Certainly their first goal sounded like a defensive lapse and possibly their second.

Theres a very detailed account on the Chelmsford forum  Relief is the main thing that comes across  First home win for a while first home goal for a while but no sense that the game was easy for them  They describe a number of incidents when a Slough goal was likely/possible  I think it was RR who pointed out that all teams in a poor run turn it round eventually  just our bad fortune tonight.

Good and bad runs tend to come to an end at some point regardless of the stats.

I think 5 changes were necessary not just because of the short time between games but also to give players minutes that have not had a lot of game time.

Unfortunately on the night it didn't work to our advantage.

Lets hope we can pick ourselves up quickly on Saturday We are at home to 14th Welling where i would hope for at least a point but this is followed by 2 away games at Dartford and St Albans .

Dulwich play Braintree Tuesday and could go ahead of us if they win  and Chippenham play Ebbsfleet although a win wouldnt impact our position

I don't know if the writer of our match report looks at the forum but in his report he refers to Reece Grant as George Grant.

BTW does anyone know who Reece Grant punched in the face to get a straight red?

It was Joe Dandy that Reece Grant was attempting to hit. Wouldn’t say it was a punch though, more of a slap which might have just brushed Dandy.

The problem mainly was the fact he thought he could get away with it with the referee literally staring at him and Joe from 5 yards away.

Thanks for the reply Connor.
