Theres an excellent chance that at final whistle tomorrow night we will be unbeaten in eight games

Chelmsford who started the season so well are now in very poor form and have been for some time They are 22/24 in the form table over the last 10 games last 8 games and last 6 games  and 24/24 over the last 4

Their last 3 home games have all been lost without them scoring

They have a few long term injuries but dont we all in course of a season

Their fans forum is in meltdown over their rapid decline and morale is well down  We however should have a confident and bouyant attitude based on recent results imo.

Not optimism for us only but an accurate reflection on how consistently poor Chelmsford have been for weeks!

I find it strange that when we should have played them back in January  when we weren't  doing so well or them so badly there were a number of comments suggesting we could get point(s)

Personally I think Chelmsford is a tough place to go, and even more so on a Monday night.

If we come away with a point I would be delighted.

I would also be happy with a point too but I hope Slough go there with the aim of trying to get the a win. As Irishadrian pointed out Chelmsford are currently not the force they were, I put that down to losing key men to injury and the winter weather, as in the norm they are a very good passing, exciting to watch attack orientated footballing side and have some excellent players in their squad.

To me there's a big difference going there for a draw and 'parking the bus' than going there with the intention of trying to win the game and having belief in what our team can do. Hopefully,we won't be missing any of our best players for the trip.

Certainly not an easy place to go on a Monday night [after work] though, and I won't be taking anything for granted especially as Chelmsford are still around the play off places and can easy get it together for their own run of form to change their luck.

I'm expecting it to be a close tight game whatever. That's a compliment to how far our team has come in the last couple of months in that now we expect Slough to have a chance of winning this match !

With the run we’re on confidence should be sky high and we should be going there with the mindset of winning only and if it ends up being a draw then so be it. Our defence has tighten up and we’ve only let 2 in the last 3 league games. Although we’ve not been scoring many recently we have the attacking power in the squad to hurt teams.

If only football went by the form book we'd all be millionaires by now.

Going to Chelmsford on a Monday night after work will always be a difficult task and I think tomorrow night will be no exception.

I expect us to go there and try to get the win which I think is the way Scott always like to approach a game.

As long as we come away with something from the game for me it'll be job done.

I cannot subscribe to the assumption that Chelmsford are a passing side and the weather is part of the reason why their form has dipped.

I think there's no dispute that we are a side that are primarily made up of players who like to play attacking football on the deck so why are we doing so well since Christmas in the poor winter weather?

Losing key players to other clubs and injuries are more than likely the reasons why Chelmsford are in such a poor run of form.

Theyve also had a high number of suspensions!

It's what the weather does to the pitches,as happened yesterday at Hampton. Two completely different scenarios at Slough and Chelmsford, and is it right to compare them?

Only a matter of time before Chelmsford turn around their form and I did say they have injuries and good players out. Slough haven't been playing great passing football in the games I've seen them. They have had spells of good football but are hardly free flowing. They are battling to stay in games and have a terrific team spirit but are far from the finished article.

Chelmsford are a seasoned side that are experiencing a loss of form for a number of reasons but losing 3-0 away to Havant on Saturday is hardly the worst of results imo. At some point they will turn their form on it's head and tonk the opposition. Slough might be that side on Monday. Who knows?

Slough's run of unbeaten games has come at the right time but performances have been patchy, and in a couple of the drawn matches the result could easily have been a loss. Not a criticism of this Slough team,as currently we need to churn out results whatever way they come but we are still eight places lower in the table than Chelmsford, so getting anything on Monday there will be a good result in my book.

There's no doubt we are one of if not the smallest sides in the division.

We have a number of players who are comfortable in possession and like to pass the ball.

The difference between us and Chelmsford is that they can do both i.e. play football and also have big players who are physical.

Probably the reason why they are pushing for the play offs.

On that theory poor pitches should suit Chelmsford more than Slough.

IMO the reason why Chelmsford are going through a rough patch has been stated above.

They've a lost a key player or two plus injuries and suspensions imo nothing to do with the weather/poor pitches.

Most sides hit a rough patch in a season and normally their luck changes and they get back to winning ways, you could say just like we have.

Who knows if tomorrow night is that night when Chelmsford get back to winning ways? hopefully not but we'll see.

Hi IrishAdrian,

I have just noticed your profile says you also support Chippenham. Are you concerned about their prospects of avoiding relegation, and so appear to be taking any actions to try to survive?

Thats a bit historic now Goes back to the days when I was at RAF Lyneham  I don't  believe theyll be in serious trouble as the season evolves.

Gutted to be missing tonight's match but good luck to Scott/Yella, the lads and all the travelling Rebels.

I'm tied up at another footballing venue with my lad so will try and follow via Rebles Radio if its on.
