Hi HR,

What about if an under 16 Hampton supporter wears just a red and blue scarf would that suffice as club colours?

That's a good question that isn't definitely answered on their website RR.

It just says free admission when wearing red and blue club colours but you have to pay if you are not prepared to wear  Hampton club colours.

God knows if a red  and blue scarf is sufficient,  'cos I don't. 😄

As the match is being played at Hampton I’m sure he’s referring to Hampton U18’s!!!

I was.

I've been around both the Isthmian and Allied Youth Leagues for donkeys years and then when my lad since 15 started playing in them even more so, I get heads ups of scores/matches and so on daily/weekly as I know a fair few coaches/parents/players and so on.

I got the Hampton message as my mate knew we are there tomorrow.

Was it?

I looked up the result on the Allied Youth League U18 and it had a result of Slough 3 Abingdon 5

Good match by all accounts, I think Abingdon actually won three matches in four days this week.

A perfect day for the Rebels 3 points and up to 16th but more importantly the 6 teams below us who had a game today ALL lost( Hungerford on Trophy duty) also re our next game Chelmsford were hammered today and failed to score again theyve lost their last three games at home  failing to score in any of them . COYR.

It’s got 1-1 draw written all over it!

Daniel Rowe put the ball in the Slough Townet but was flagged offside ... and Will Dennis made sure that it never went in again. IMO he was MoTM by a mile.

Excellent win and a crucial 3 points.

On the game itself we started both halves strongly playing some good football without creating any real clear cut chances.

In fact I'd say over the 90 + minutes Hampton had the better chances and only some good keeping and one blinding save from Will Dennis kept the score level.

I had a great view of 'the save' and the ball was going at pace into the top corner until Will Dennis pulled off one of the best saves I've seen for a long time.

Hopefully their highlights will show this top draw save.

Our goal was from a good move superbly taken from an acute angle by Francis from possibly his only chance of the game.

Overall on play I think we deserved to take all 3 points.

If Hampton had the better chances, why did Slough deserve to take all 3 points?

Any win away from home is excellent under any circumstances, couldn’t care less who the best team was 😂

I looked at the starting 11 and for the life me of me could not work out how we would line up, can anyone confirm the formation and the positions the players were in?

Agree with what was said. We controlled most of the game without any clear cut chances whilst H&R had a good ten minute spell, made a few chances and forced a couple of saves, at the end of which we scored! Amarty moving off the left just before the goal was absolutely crucial too. Their right back was dealing with him quite comfortably.

There was quite a bit of flexible interchanging of positions throughout but seemed like a 3-4-3 to me with Jackman coming more central to bolster midfield.

Dennis

Davies-Eweka-Dandy

Jackman-Lench-Togwell-Goddard

Dobson-Benyon-Amarty

Unfortunately I couldn’t make this one but what a fantastic and vital win, even more so with all the teams below us losing. Was great to read that we soaked up the pressure and we took our chance and our defence held firm. A clean sheet and only 2 goals conceded in 3 games hopefully shows our defensive training/tactics are paying off. A little concerned we’ve not scored many in the last 3 games but that’s hopefully just a little blip and we can get back to creating and scoring more.

I have just seen that the attendance at Hampton was 778, their second highest attendance only behind their New Years Day match. Was there a big Slough following that caused this?

Along with our last two best of the season home attendances of 980 & 750 are we seeing a revival of support for our Club. And if so, is this due entirely to improved results or are there any other new initiatives aiding this?

Didn't we have a player sent off with the score at 3-4?

Yes, Mason, apparently two yellows in the space of a couple of minutes.
