V Dover 4th Feb H

Dover having a very poor time with a recent new manager Their last 10 league games have produced just 1 win and 6 losses and just 5 goals in those 10 games!

We're  5 unbeaten with confidence growing and I expect another 3 points as we climb away from the drop zone!

When making numerous changes it can take a while for those players to settle into a new club.

In that respect it's a good time to be playing Dover but rather than 'expect' to get 3 points, if we turn up and play our best I think we've got a good chance of getting the 3 points.

Again, it's a must not lose game.

Ooooo never say expect especially on this forum… remember every game is a tough one!!! But yes it’s a good time to play then as they are in poor form and in danger of getting dragged into a relegation battle. We do need to win this one as I suspect away to Hampton will be tougher especially as they’re below us and will want to close the gap. We obviously can’t expect the near 1,000 crowd we got last time but it’ll be great to see a ‘bumper’ crowd with a similar atmosphere to spur on the lads.

Correct 😂

Far too long in the tooth to 'expect' anything when it comes to a game of football.

Dover have already played 2 games more than us and the 3 points on Saturday will place us both on the same points so yes Dover are in a relegation battle.

Hampton aren't going well either. They have a lot of players out injured and players have also left the club due to Gary McCann getting the sack. It may well be the right time to play them, too, as their new manager hasn't got them going yet.

Just looked at the Hampton site and they've just had a 'meet the new owners' meeting.

They have new investment in the club and are actively looking for new players and are hoping to bring in two players from the Championship by the weekend.

Ok they've got to gel but lets not think that when we meet them they will be in dire straights as far as a shortage of players goes.

It was also mentioned that clubs are only allowed 12 loan signings in a season which is something I wasn't aware of.

Frustrating match!!! In an odd way it feels like 2 points dropped even though had we won you could argue we wouldn’t have deserved it. Just felt our attacking play wasn’t upto the standards of other recent matches and our defence looked a little wobbly again at times today. Shame as we had a decent ‘bumper’ crowd of 750 attending which is an impressive 30 odd percent higher than our average. Really hoping Amartey isn’t injured as he’s one of our star men. Got a couple of tough away games coming up now and we need to start turning these draws into wins if we’re to break away from the trap door.

I thought Dover had most of the play especially 2nd half their number 30 was outstanding couldn’t work out why their goalkeeper was time wasting
