No that is not what I said, please do not try and twist my words.

I stated "contract withdraw and gone on a free" - where in that comment does it say there should have been a fee?

And nowhere else in this thread do I talk about a transfer fee.

SloughFlyer, please read the comments more carefully and don't try playing politics.

I await your apology.

To be honest SR I thought you were inferring that our club should have got a transfer fee, too. Obviously I was on the wrong wavelength as well.

So you wanted a fee for a player thats injured, out for a while and a free agent in 3 months time?

Not sure you have quite the right understanding of these football transfers SirRebel, what fee did you want? Or would you rather we paid him whilst he wasn't available for 3 months, did without a player and then he walked away anyway?

I think with the current formation and 3 main midfielders George had to have a loan away to play as with Davies, Lench, Goddard and Togwell available and he was always struggling to get in the starting 11 (FWIW he would 100% be in my starting 11, but thats by the by).

SF he will come back ready and raring to go, he was like a coiled spring and just wants to play.

Ref AK absolutely deserves a move up the football pyramid, and I wish him all the best as a decent bloke as well.

TO ABSOLUTELY NOONE😂

So what part of it are you disappointed to say the least with? The contract being cancelled of an injured player who possibly wont play again this season to allow us to sign another player/players? OR The fact he went on a free (which would of course mean you wanted a fee involved😉)

As for playing politics - I'm not who you think I am, or, who you think I think you are, BUT, there is no point playing politics when the opinion polls are so far to one side that the election is over😂😉

Well you could argue that he is worth a place on the subs bench if he wasn't in the first eleven but I can understand that he wants full game time after the injuries he has had and Scott may want to explore other types of central midfield players. My point of view is that I would have kept him around, as he has been at the club awhile now and has improved his overall game since he first arrived at the club. To be honest when I first watched him I thought he was lightweight and rather ineffective but he has come on bundles and does a lot of hard yards that often goes unseen in centre mid.He just needs to add some flair to his game. Anyway better get off the George Hunt subject as this thread is about Aaron Kuhl !

Welcome back SloughFlyer. Missed you. Just one thing to add did you see that useless striker Elliot Buchanan scored a hat trick on Saturday against third in the table Chesham United, mind you I better not crow too much as Ben Harris scored two for Bracknell but they were at home to fifth from bottom Winchester City !

I couldn't agree more about George 3spirit. He has come on leaps and bounds since joining us and I'd say he would be one of the top "miles covered" on any given 90 minutes in the squad. I think its fair to talk about his loan as well as Kuhl leaving as they do have a corrilation.

I bet he was FF, looking forward to him getting some game time in and heading back in a month or so and hopefully getting into the first 11 for us.

Just to play devils advocate, I don't think 'miles covered' determines whether a player is good or not it's what they do when they reach their destination that counts.

Lenchy is a prime example of a player that covers every blade of grass and effects the game to a great degree when he gets there.

Have to be honest and say I’m not sure Hunt brings enough to the table to warrant a starting place. Yes he covers a lot of ground and gives his all but compared to Lench or Goddard for me he’s just not in the same league. I really hope his spell at Gosport is fruitful and he can come back to prove his worth and people like me wrong!

Agreed RR, however, we are never going to be in the position to have the best of the best players so we need the 100% effort players game in and game out and George is that (was what I was getting at).

FWIW - I also think George has a good touch and is a good player with the ball at his feet. I think the system we are currently playing would also suit him to fill the role of Lench or Goddard in the midfield with no trouble at all.

On one hand yes it’s a massive blow and disappointing to lose someone of his quality as I doubt we’d be able to replace him certainly not like for like. But he’s served us well and by all accounts has been very loyal. Plus this could be his last chance to make it in full time football and I’m sure Dorking have our mind boggling wages on the table. I wish him all the best and if it doesn’t work out please can we have first dibs!

Dorking Wanderers have the worst defensive record in National League : 67 goals conceded in 28 league matches.

Dorking Wanderers are in a relegation fight : Gateshead and Torquay United are both 5 points behind them with a game in hand.

Dorking Wanderers league record : From 8th October onwards has been 3-4-9 F21 A41 and in January alone 0-0-3 F1 A12.

A significant improvement in results is required from their last 18 league matches if Aaron Kuhl is not going to be back playing in National League South again next season.

I agree with Glen and RR re: George Hunt… He’s got a good engine, puts in the occasional good tackle but does not offer enough. He hasn’t improved enough for me and was never going to fit in with Scott’s style of play.

As expected, not man enough to admit you are wrong.
