Slough Town got a mention tonight on the 606 football phone in on BBC Radio Five Live. Someone rang up talking about the Trust and about the launch yesterday...that should help with some publicity...

Did the person that rang up say good things or bad things though?!

Good things, very positive...he was a York fan but said that he would be joining the Trust and said that if anyone was interested in joining they should contact the club. Unfortunately, he couldn't remember the website address.

did the trust intend to take over the running of the club now but was told that we have a Mr Deaner who was doing a good job at the moment.

Is there another Mr Deaner then?! <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Not a dickie bird even tho there was almost bugger all football for them to cover having regard to all the postponements.Shouldnt someone have made a point of ensuring they ran it as a proper story.

An article made the Friday edition and I would imagine that information is being sent to them from John Tebbit who was reqused to arrange the information to be sent to them so expect to see something for next weeks edition. The NLP prefer to have the information after the launch party has happened which is why little has been published to date, but they are very interested in all trust launches so we will be getting some news in there soon enough.

I did note a bit in this weeks NLP about Swifty (Page 19) along with a very flattering??? picture. Apparently he had to borrow a pair of boots from Danny Steer to run the line (Possibly a new song). The best paragraph in the bit though said "Goalless at the time, and with (referee Chris) Williams feeling anxious about his ability to be on the spot for big decisions, the game was heading for abondonment". Surely if he was worried about missing big decisions the game should have stopped in the 1st minute rather than the 70th. Hopefully the Trust bit will make it in next week.
