They won, we lost. Cracking 3rd goal - for them unfortunately. Put this behind us and move on. Kingstonian up next

For whatever reason we just were not up for it today, I felt we lacked the leadership and experience of Lewwis Spence in the middle of the park today to control the game and organise our teams reaction to going 1-0 down.

I also felt the luck was not going our way today with 2 cleared off the line and a couple more handball decisions not given  but that does not excuse a performance that lacked the creativity and movement we have got used to seeing this season.

I just hope the lads react with a win on Tuesday and challenge each other to raise the standard of football as it is a title on the line i believe they can win. Let's keep going and work hard 19 games to go!

Deserved 3 points for Canvey today (he says through gritted teeth).
The free-kick was worthy of Prowse-Ward or Beckham and has to be respected.
No idea how Joe Christou's header stayed out - but then Carshalton cleared two of his efforts off the line as well.
It's difficult not to agree with Pony Tailed Urchin (and not just because he navigated us around the accident on the way home from Hastings last week) with regards to his comments about Lewwis. Obviously I'm biased from my Thurrock FC years but even when Lewwis is having a personal mare of a game he still somehow manages to lift the performance levels of the rest of the team.

I thought the penalty handball was the weakest shout throughout the game but their guy didn't make much complaint.
Canvey supporters were singing "Top of the league you're having a laugh" and who can blame them. But they should count themselves lucky because a top of the league performance would have seen them beaten by 4 or 5 goals. 
I hope the team have been stung today and will take it out on Kingstonian on Tuesday. I doubt many teams will take 6 points from us throughout the season.
And on a more positive final note 1st home league defeat didn't happen until half-way through the season
 

But, on balance, you lose and all your nearest rivals win and you're still 4 points clear, Even if Bishop's Stortford beat Cray Wanderers we're still 2 points ahead.
 

It all looks good and Alex is going to have dig deep into his savings next year  and MJA will have to work his magic once more to find some new sponsorship  money.
My biggest worry is that Havering council will block the necessary works required to meet Conference South grading (despite riding the glory bus after the FA Trophy win)

Well one of those days my guests  were highly delighted ,in a nutshell we just didn't turn up today I've seen us play poorly and win I've seen better teams than Canvey and win,it is what it is, up the Urchins

Have to admit that the better team on the day won. Our passing just seemed poor and their 3rd goal was brilliantly struck. Is there any history with their number 9 as he made a twat of himself after scoring their 2nd

Just not our day. Definitely agree that skipper Lewwis was missed. Back at it on Tuesday, shoulders back...now smash it!

Btw was great as always to catch up with so many of you. We literally were over just for the game and back home Sunday afternoon. We are just glad we got to see a game for a change! 🤣🤣

Bradley Sach seems to score against us every time he plays, be it for Canvey or Bowers before them - hence the "this is my manor" routine. Think some of our youth were giving him verbals about the size of his gut which probably added to things

There were definitely references from the ‘New Eastside’ about the gentlemen’s girth so he was giving it back after the goal. Not professional but also understandable.
