Have us to win not a single home game and one away?!

Total fiction at this stage of the season  meaningless until the last 6 games or so when it becomes very accurate with most games played and a true picture evolving

The person who forecast this final National League South table is obviously a total jerk.

Here are four examples of what he has forecast :-

EBBSFLEET UNITED (A)

First 11  7-2-2
Full 23  : 8-11-4
Final 12 : 1-9-2

HAMPTON & RICHMOND BOROUGH (H)

First 11  : 2-4-5
Full 23  : 3-12-8
Final 12 : 1-8-3 (Ignoring the possibility of Bakes & Unders being appointed, although I wouldn't recommend the drive to mid-week training)

SLOUGH TOWN (H)

First 13  : 3-3-7
Full 23  : 3-10-10
Final 10 : 0-7-3

WEYMOUTH (H)

First 11  : 1-2-8
Full 23  : 1-5-17
Final 12 : 0-3-9

The general issue here is that 50 points are usually required to avoid relegation in a division with a 46 match season.

We currently have 25 points from 25 matches, and if the season did end on 25 matches the three clubs below us with games in hand would most likely catch us & put us in a relegation place.

In addition, we have 8 points from our last 10 home matches & 8 points from our last 10 away matches. If that was to continue (which is the only data available) then we won’t get to 50 points & most likely will be relegated.

In very basic terms we need 8 wins & a draw from our remaining 21 matches, and have only won 1 match from our last 12 (last 6 home matches & last 6 away matches).

At least 2 of those will need to come from our next 5 matches:-

Dulwich (H), Chelmsford (A), Cheshunt (A), Dover (H), Hampton (A)

Out of those 5 games, I would say we need to get 3 points against Dulwich and at least, manage a draw with Cheshunt but hope we are good enough to get all three points. Unlikely to get anything from Chelmsford[never know of course, hope for a upset] but think we could turn over Dover at home by then.

Hampton is likely to be a fierce contest, if Bakes and Unders do get appointed at Hampton, and will be a struggle to get anything from but should be a good watch for the spectators, and that has a possible draw written over it given the importance of it for both sides.

Weve 7 games still to play against the strugglers at the moment All could be regarded as 6 pointers  so we must bring our A game to these ones  3 home games v Hungerford  Chippenham and Dulwich  4 away games v Weymouth Cheshunt Concord and Hampton and Richmond.

We did achieve the two wins from those 5 matches which was excellent.

My concern now would be that the likelihood is that we will probably only win one of our next five matches:-

Welling (H), Dartford (A), St Albans (A), Bath (H), Worthing (H)

Certainly some very tough games to get anything from especially as our home form is very unreliable and the two away games are against sides at the top end pushing for promotion.

We definitely need to get 3 points against Welling on Saturday, any points at all against Dartford and St Albans will be a bonus.

I think we can get something from the home games against Bath and Worthing.

I think 8/9 points from these games will be a half decent return.

I think that would be a tremendous return…… I’m hoping for 1 win & 1 or 2 draws, 4 or 5 points.

1 or 2 points from 4 games will be a really poor return and quite possibly put us back into the thick of a relegation battle.

I don't think hardly anyone is expecting us to to get anything against Dartford but a point at St Albans and 4 points at home to Bath and Worthing are achievable.

Thanks Curtis  That prediction table is pretty meaningless when it starts but as the season evolves it becomes 100% the truth at season end

I Do agree that the danger is growing after 2 very poor displays against teams themselves on poor runs.

My next prediction is 5 points from our next five matches:-

Concord (A), Hungerford (H), Eastbourne (A), Farnborough (A), Ebbsfleet (H)
