Fair comment but there are 5/6 hours tomorrow mostly around noon /afternoon shown as above freezing so possible?imo

I was being positive and supportive about the game being on.

You just can't win!

The solution is bleeding obvious, the pitch which was waterlogged will now be an ice rink, so maybe send the Slough Jets down there!

I have all the answers but no one listens!

Who then? It appears both teams wanted the game to go ahead. Odd the council allow a friendly but not a league game IF that was the reason. Can only think maybe they need to have certain staff present for a league game but not a friendly?

Spencer Day annoyed with the ref claiming lots of work was done getting the pitch ready and in his opinion it should have gone ahead also says the reason we couldnt play at Arbour Park was defective floodlights! Did anyone at the Hanwell match see a ything wrong with them?

Possibly just couldn't get the number of volunteers needed at short notice.

Either that or we realized that we had nothing to gain by hastily arranging the game at our place rather than wait til the scheduled date in April.

The floodlight was out on Monday and the club needed a cherry picker to get it fixed. The contractor that the council used couldn’t do it Monday but said they could possibly do it on Tuesday, but wasn’t a certainty, hence why the game didn’t go ahead. 

It was fixed late yesterday afternoon. We would have played the friendly with the light on or off but for a league match it wouldn’t have been acceptable.

No hidden agenda or anything like that. I/we were happy to play the league game at theirs or at ours, but in hindsight like many have said, I don’t think it was a bad thing for us to now play them at home on a Saturday in April.
