2 each Walking back home feeling happy not happend for a while Great strike for the first Imran scores again Must start next game Just wondered why we have to play out from the back doesn't work in the premier league???

Agree Ian, there is a time when playing too much football shoots you in the foot. That happens when you basically have 3 CBs who are actually midfielders, there is a time to play and a time to get rid!

That being said I can see what Scotty is trying to implement and once Joe, Matt are back in the team we’ll be absolutely fine.

For as good as we were first half we were equally as bad 2nd half but a draw was a fair result in the end.

4 points from 6, a more than positive Christmas period, COME ON YOU REBELS!!!

Just saying Rhys should have launched it rather than try to play a not so clever pass

Again I agree but sometimes his players in front of him need to realise when he’s having an off day and stop giving him the ball, it happens at all levels.

That being said, the commitment and effort from the whole squad was top top notch again.

4 points from these two fixtures are 4 more than I expected so I am more than happy with the last two games given issues we've had with injuries, availability and players jumping ship recently. We were very good again first half today, yet had to find a way to salvage a draw from a game we had seemed to let slip away. Great character from the players to get a point from there when most of us were talking about being happy with the 3 points away to them.

The team has looked to give everything they have in the last two games and that's all you can ask. Every player his doing his bit when asked right now.

Scotty Davies is starting to build his own team with a new shape and identity that's quite enjoyable to watch and he's had the whole squad up for it, playing well and fighting for the shirt over the Christmas period. Obi and Woodhouse are great additions. That Chentouf lad has also had a great impact off the bench Boxing Day and today. Lench, Kuhl and Benyon all upped their levels last few games. Kayani and Gabe thriving when given a crack.

Well done to the whole squad on putting some smiles on our faces over Christmas!

Just to add that Chentouf and Woodhouse are both on loan, it was mentioned that today was the last day of Chentouf's loan deal.

Although Rhys made a few decent saves, I thought a lot of his distribution was poor today. On another day it could have cost us points, hopefully he’ll work hard on this.

One thing I can say is Rhys works extremely hard on all aspects of his game, he has a program he works to that involves everything including distribution.

His pre match warm up also includes distribution, just an off day in my opinion, it happens.

The idea is obviously to keep possession of the ball but unless a team has the quality of player that can both bring the ball out from the back, work triangles etc and be comfortable in possession when put under pressure I cannot see the point of the keeper looking to play it short inside his own area.

Invariably a player receives the ball from the keeper, is put under pressure and ends up either lumping the ball forward or back to the keeper who then lumps it forward, pointless stuff.

When we had JT in goal he seemed to find Dobbo on the left wing consistency Also watching premier league and championship I see a lot off cock ups playing out from the back

I think Rhys Forster has so far proved to be a very good acquistion/find for Slough and his shot stopping has been excellent but we shouldn't be expecting him to be the new Jack Turner. Rhys is still learning his craft.

I'm also not against defenders bringing the ball out from defence, as a confident ball player [like Scott Davies or Lee Togwell] can push forward and catch teams napping. This type of football can be good to watch. and is precisely why I loathe watching players booting the ball aimlessly long. What the difference is to me, is that we don't need players dithering/pussyfooting on the ball [when opponents are pressurizing our defence]. If anything, we should vary our play. Since Scott/Lee and Yella have been in charge I've found it refreshing that Slough haven't been predictable, and that our team is adapting to the challenges they face without resorting to playing the ball long at every given opportunity.

Slough are a totally different proposition under our new management team, than they were with Bakes and Unders. I not expecting miracles with this new line-up but it certainly hasn't been dull with these new guys at the helm, and in many ways it's provided better watching, than the latter day Ben Harris diving/Guy Hollis long throw/set piece moves show. No disrespect meant to Bakes and Unders management.
