The crowd was 1,106 which we won’t get anywhere near on Sunday unfortunately. I think it’ll be between 600-700.

I seem to recall a lot of Oxford Utd fans turned up to see Tyler play last year, they didn’t have a game.

4pts from 6 is my thoughts, COYR

Some may have said this was hopeful or ambitious or just crazy.  But called it even though today was not a great display imo.  Howler of an error by their keeper for our first.

Baby steps but going in the right direction.

credit to the team for the late surge today.

Hmmm highly debatable…

Just because a shot is straight at a goalkeeper doesn’t mean he should save it when the shot is hit with such venom and goes in off the underside of the crossbar. It came out of nowhere as well, Great strike rather than poor goalkeeping for me.

Highlights package are a good watch.

Chances galore for both sides, with both Oxford goals being given away via a poor challenge from Toggs and as a direct result of some really poor distribution from Rhys Forster.

Some debate over our first goal and whether their keeper should have saved it.

Looking at the keeper closely he's standing parallel to the shot and then has to twist his body at the last second which suggests to me the ball has moved in the air which could be the reason why he's messed up his attempt to tip the ball over the bar.

Our second goal? well suffice to say I've just watched the sublime cross from Lenchy, excellent header from Kayani and goal celebrations about a dozen times.

Some great scenes at the end.

The "header from two yards out" by Lewis Miccio on 68 minutes 3 seconds which would have put Oxford City 0-3 up, I have played back several times. To me, it seems that the reason why he did not score from his "header" is because the ball bounced off his left shoulder rather than him getting his head to it.

He must be on a knife edge already but lose at home to Weymouth on Saturday and I think we could be saying cheerio to the  Ebbsfleet manager.

Dennis Kutrieb was appointed manager of Ebbsfleet United on 1st July 2020.

In 2021/2 they narrrowly lost the play-off final 3-2 after extra time at Dorking Wanderers before a capacity 3,000 crowd.

This season was flying with a sensational 0-6 win at Worthing on 6th December 2022 making it 15-3-1 in National League South.

But then followed four consecutive defeats!

On 1st January at home to Exeter City, Oxford United began with Tyler Goodrham and substituted him with Billy Bodin after 71 minutes.

This evening against Arsenal LIVE on ITV at 8 pm, they are starting with Billy Bodin with Tyler Goodrham on the bench.

Next Saturday 4th February is Ebbsfleet United v Havant & Waterlooville

On Billy Clifford's debut against Concord Rangers last Saturday, Ebbsfleet United manager Dennis Kutrieb said,

“If he was available and a free agent then we needed to grab him. Apart from my team, he’s the best midfielder in the league so I have got the best midfielder in our league, against a team that is very close to us in the table on top of it. I don’t know if you can make a story out of it but it maybe a great story for us.

I don’t say it for no reason that he’s the best midfielder in the league, apart from my team, so he’s the perfect fit. He was outstanding. He could have won a penalty for us and then he hit the crossbar. We will get him on the scoresheet as he has not scored enough goals at Havant but that will take time.

You can see he’s not used to being in the box and not yet used to being with us. He wants to be on the ball and he makes something happen."

“For us he is a perfect fit. I said we’d do something if it makes sense and this definitely makes sense. Without being stretched as a club this was a perfect deal for him and for us.”

Difficult to agree with you there RR. They at least need to turn the corner from the astonishing cumulative losses of £16,271,448 as at 31st May 2021.

A bit of 'double dutch' speak from Kutrieb .

'He's the best midfielder in the league apart from in my team'. 😵

'He was brilliant'

'He could have won a penalty for us and hit the crossbar'

Not a bad effort for the amount of money he's on :laugh(2):

I have no idea how much money he’s on, but personally I think he’s the signing that will ensure they win the title with Dartford & Havant very close behind.

Maybe.

According to the Ebbsfleet manager Clifford is the best midfielder in the division...along with their other midfielders 😏
