Oxford City- Home and Away

Right all

We all know how tough the club are having it right now but this is where we have to play our part as ever, the usual hardcore away supporters and hopefully plenty of others given its Boxing Day and Oxford isn't that far in the grand scheme of things but we need to encourage/push/kidnap as many others as possible and take over Marsh Lane and get behind Scott and the lads.

We then need to do the same for the return on New Years Day, again a challenge I know with the cost of living crisis but if we all try to get one more person down to Arbour Park to roar on Scott and the boys, I honestly believe we can get two positive results against this lot.

The boys are giving everything, we need to do the same.

Come on Slough Town!

It's good to be positive.

I'm not sure on what your basing it on but nevertheless all we can do is stay positive and hope for the best.

I'll take a draw now  😅

Always positive, to much negativity around the club right now. 👍

You might get your wish  Oxfords last 8 league games  3 wins  5 draws.

I'd be more than happy with 2 points from a possible 6 but saying that I wouldn't go into the games looking for draws. Although we don't yet have that cutting edge upfront, i think we can cause any team problems with our pace and high tempo football.

A point away from home would be an excellent result.

It's great if you've pace and play at a high tempo but if you don't score as a result it's meaningless.

I know we're trying to be positive but 4 points from a good side like Oxford City?

Not going to happen.

Maybe not but I watched them a few weeks ago and believe they have some weaknesses in their team and how they play.  I have also asked Santa for 4 points from these games so fingers crossed.

Oxford are expecting their largest home league gate this season but it only needs to be 346 to achieve that  Only Concord on 330 have a lower average Lets hope we can get close to our highest home gate  in the return game and bring in some much needed revenue!

Never say no in football.

Look at Ebbsfleet United : Tuesday 6th December Worthing 0 Ebbsfleet United 6; Tuesday 20th December Cheshunt 1 Ebbsfleet United 0

Despite having quite a good season, Oxford City's home support has been abyssmal. In twelve home National League South matches they have only topped 400 on three occasions - 411, 551 and 556 and their entertaining 5-3 home win over Chippenham Town on Tuesday 13th December was watched by just 134, the same crowd as was at Hayes & Yeading United 3 Yate Town 0 on that very same evening.

So a chance that the massed Rebels away support will have an impact on proceedings although I will be at Watford v Millwall myself.

It needs to be at least 557. They have topped 400 on three occasions at home this season in National League South - 411 3rd December v Dulwich Hamlet;
551 : 24th September v Bath City and 556 : 29th August v Hampton & Richmond Borough.

You got in a bit of a muddle there as Oxford City's average NLS home gate this season is shown as 345 :-

Mea culpa  I always look at footballwebpages who only show the season averages and not the high/low figures I do wonder if they will achieve it at theirs

We were superb today given the makeshift line up and without an out an out defender on the pitch, I couldn't quite believe how well we performed in this one. Easily our best performance of the year, with several players having their best games of the season. Special shout to Lee Togwell who was superb in the centre of defence and my man of the match, which was a very hard call for all the right reasons. More of that next year please.

Awesome performance, at it from the first whistle to the last… Won’t be singling out any one player for special praise as the team were absolutely superb 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
