Well.  The World Cup eh?  Frankly an unnecessary diversion from the Prediction League.  So without further ado let’s get back on the main theme.

Winners of Div 1 and 2 were done and dusted last week so old news.  New news for Div 1 is:

• Sir Colin beat Urchin Yid to haul himself up into the safe zone – while UrchinYid just about clung onto his elite status.
• This was entirely down to me beating Adrian83 (AKA “the yoyo”), so mine’s a Guinness (or two) please Mitch.  Unlucky Adrian but let’s face it you will be back again soon.
• There was no miracle for COYS, so down he goes – but he does have the consolation of finishing above Baby Jago who went down with the second highest goals total across both divisions.  Who said life was fair?
• Fat Tom was already down, but well done for showing up for once!

In the Vase Division, it was all change for the playoff positions:

• Clive cocked up big time at home to Cup of Tea who was able to cement his auto-promotion spot with a dour 4-2 win.
• But more seriously for Clive this enabled Dinamo (checks notes, yes Dinamo!) to leapfrog him into the third auto spot.  Well done DU.
• Clive is joined in the playoffs by Wivenhoe and Mick the Bat – both comfortable qualifiers - but also by surprise package Lord Upminster who had to get a win away down at MikeMike’s fortress ThurrockBowl to pip Mike on "Goals Scored".  Our Lord duly cantered to a 10-2 win, thereby consigning MikeMike himself to a period of reflection on what might have been if he’d not lost 4 of the last 5!  Mind you Diamond Geezer has managed just 1 win in the last 8 so he’s not alone.

Elsewhere, if newboy Mojo hadn’t missed a few weeks of predicting he’d have been up there. Urchin Queen was her normal elegant self but ultimately fell short, and the Dummies were, as ever, good for putting the wind up the rest of you.

Playoff semi finals are next week, with the final on 24th Dec, then the Spring season will start in January when the Premier League will be back.  "Phew" you will be saying.

In case the Enfield game is iced off, please also predict the crowd at Cray.  This will be used for both attendance scoring and tie-break if necessary.
